Just couple of days ago I was in Makkah and I was eagerly waiting to hear his voice in prayer but he never came. After watching this video it really saddens me that he is gone. He was my favorite Imam out of all of the Imams in Makkah.

I can imagine how u felt. Amazing recitation from my childhood just came in September now to know it was the last time I'm listening to this shiekh in makkah tul mukaramah is sad. May Allah swt reward him in this world and the hereafter. I also love the recitation of skiekh yasser al dossary for the first time MashaAllah 2 salat Alhamdulillah during my stay in September 16th till 24th and went to madinah tul manawarah. It was independence day too in saudi Arabia during my stay MashaAllah amazing

I can't help other than to shed tears. He is my best reciter ever and I have been listening to him since the very first time I discovered him some 8years ago. His intonation while reciting impressed and motivated me to learn the Quran. Today, I am happy that I can recite the whole Quran from wall to wall and glad to have memorized some 20 hizb all mimicking his intonation. Sheikh Sa'ud As-Shuraim will forever be my best reciter as it's easy mimicking his flexible recitation. I can't think of any better imam than him. I wish I can meet him anytime soon.

Why did he have to or was made to step down? Despite all the new Imaam of the Haram, Sheikh Shuraim was Sheikh Shuraim. A very unique, will most certainly be missed! He had many years left in that wondrous, soothing voice! I used to always listen to him during my Hifz, and still listen to him to this current day! Allaah rears him abundantly for his many years of service, Aameen!

This is the voice I grew up listening to.. the voice I heard in taraweeh while holding the mushaf in my hands as a toddler in masjid Al Haram. This is the voice that made me wanted to recite Quran with the correct tajweed. Ya Allah I dreamt of praying in makkah when he recites and now I'm so emotional that this dream remained a dream But we should not jump to any conclusions because it's not official that he resigned.. We'll find this out in Ramadan

8oct2022 I prayed my first and last Maghrib salah after him. I wish I could know before that it would be him praying today so I could record a video but I did record the audio and when I heard his voice I literally started crying... He's one of my favorite imams ever... May ALLAH bless him, Ameen.

J'espère de tout cœur le revoir à la kaaba diriger à nouveau les prières. Il laisse un grand vide et il nous manque beaucoup. Ses récitation me remontaient beaucoup le moral et apaisait beaucoup mon cœur.

Shaikh Shuraim and Shaikh Sudais are the legendary voices of the recitation of the Qur'aan Al Kareem. without them the visit to haram feels incomplete. May Allah Subhanawataala elevate their status in both worlds and reward them on behalf of the ummah for their khidmah. Allhuma aameen

He is my all time favourite Imam and I love his beautiful and clear recitations of surah al Fatiha. I remember when I did my first Umrah in 1995 in Ramadan and at that time there were only two Imams Sheikh Sudais and Sheikh Shuraim . I never forgot those beautiful days and Tarawee salah which I read behind Sheikh Shuraim and Sudais.May Allah accept all his recitations and Ibadah.Ameen

One of my favorite shaikh,I prayed behind him during late nineties and early twenties,so powerful and recitation MashaAllah especially when he recited the Faz’r Salah.May AllahSWT grant a long healthy life for him and come back once again dear shaikh.
