I’ve had these for a week, (same color but the high tops) and i love the look of them, killed my feet the first sesh but then got pretty comfortable later on and feel great to skate. I will say though- if you’re at that stage of inconsistent kickflips and hundreds of tries, the wear starts to show right away, (same with heel flips), and yea you’re definitely gonna feel landing primo in these.

I've skated these things to death and bought two more pairs since and I pretty much agree with this review. Maximum boardfeel and flick, but lacking a bit in impact protection. One thing I'd add is that the brown and white bits of rubber are still perfectly glued together after 6 months of skating and that alone makes them worth the extra £5 over Vans or any other vulc shoe I've skated. There's nothing worse than buying a pair of shoes and then having the rubber split apart after a couple of sessions.

I'm an older skater. I've been skating the VM001s. Could be a little more durable and I have to replace the insoles because they suck, but other than that I love them; 8/10. After ripping out the original insole and swapping them for FP Gamechanger insoles; they become a 9/10.

it would be nice if Last Resort made a rubber toe shoe like a converse for some extra durability

This was really helpful. I would love to see more of these types of reviews. I have such a hard time figuring out what to expect from a lot of skate stuff (especially looking online), and honestly I don't find a lot of useful reviews out there. I was looking for something more supportive, so I'll look elsewhere.

My only gripe I’ve noticed about seeing these in the wild is they looks like shit after they’ve been skated for a bit. Brand new they look amazing. Almost too nice to skate. Picked up the vm002's about a month ago. It's the kind of shoes that make you forget you're wearing them except (like you said) when you jump down stuff. The insoles are glued in which is kind of annoying. 8/10 imo

I wouldn't exactly say "basic", I just feel like the details are more subtle, such as the slightly more exclusive looking insole, and the wavy threading details on the top. Also, they have a slightly thin "european" look to them - also a very nice detail, which makes them suitable for casual wearing or maybe even with some sort of more classy/formal outfit if you get certain colourways. I'd say they look "basic" in a definitely more thought-through kind of way. Nothing wrong with hurting your feet with the purpose of aesthetics! Love these shoes!

I do like them too,but yea they are expensive. And I don't care for the bottom sole it just seems too grippy and sticky,when doing a trick and adjusting my feet it just seems it sticks to much an messes me up. Other than that a good skate shoe,like he said if your doing low tricks and not stair sets and stuff like that,there good.. I do like the way they look,the style goes good with most my clothes. Great review!!

I got the hi tops in yellow in 12 as well and they definitely big I wear a 12 in Nike blazers these are quite a bit bigger

friends warned me about that, but I found em perfect for impacts, perhaps the sole is a bit too thick, my previous shoes were dc kalis v, better board feeling with those, but I landed primo not on purpose a couple of time and I destroyed my feet

i have a pair of these and skated them like 2 months. i found them to be a bit big and the leather insole is kinda slippery. so it feels kinda loose on your feet. dunno if it’s just the socks i have or whatever

Love these shoes but they fit massive, can only get away with using a vans insole inside of them and that increases the chance of rolling my ankle by x10 and the flick just isn’t the same. I would advice going half size or whole size down if you can. Other than the upper and mid sole are great, great shoe but just fit huge.

The existence of so many skate shoes is asinine and indicative its just a scam. Like, it's just a shoe, how have you not figured out exactly what skateboarders want and how to make it after so many years.
