They fought a lot in the new Blood of Baal campaign during the Iron Halo Offensive. Seth uses Flesh Tearers primaris Intercessors against the Tyranids. In the end Seth murders all Tyranid psykers and takes control of the planet.

@GiggleHz 100% The author did not know this fact. There are plenty of mistakes in this story.... His angelus boltgun rounds out of ammunition 2 times in this story..... No mention of reloading.... Before the first time he fires the author states that the Sanguinary guard only has a few rounds left... Then he shoots... Runs out of bullets... Then a little later... HE SHOOTS AGAIN!?!??! I mean come on... I will bet you a thousand dollars that the author did NOT know the unique quality of the Encarmine weapons before writing this.... Just like the GW staff saying on Live Stream that Death Company are NOT insane murder machines......... That they will hold their position with heavy ranged weapons when they succumb to the Black Rage............... ALL the lore around Death Company is that they ARE insane murder machines! They will attack civilians and even friendly Astartes unless a chaplain guides their wrath towards the enemy. They will throw away range weapons, leave strategic positions to charge headlong into the enemy lines to rip apart anything they can in melee.

@GiggleHz that's the point in the lore, its written mostly from humanities point of view within the universe, the encarmine weapons are written as unbreakable because they have never seen them brake.

Also saying every tyranid they kill costs the swarm, they'd just be reabsorbed back into it

I think "Red & Black" by James Swallow is the best Sisters of Battle book so far.

I got the Sisters of Battle Omnibus in today 🙂 I really enjoyed Red & Black. Looking forward to reading the rest. Next will be Uriel Ventris Chronicles Volume 2, as per your recommendation.

That's exactly what happened, they were the 3 last angels standing. I understand your point because I thought the same at first, but they were battling for what I would guess was a really long time, they were greatly injured, armor breaking down, no more ammos and even their relic of weapon were shattered, surrounded by more than a thousand beasts ( which they probably killed lots and lots of them ) waiting for the right moment to attack, and they sent the "assassin" of their kind to finish the job which is a very fast, even for transhuman standards, foe, with multiple deadly limbs of all sorts, and countless "evolutions" to be the perfectly engineered killer. So tbh those were pretty believable deaths.

@@magladroth3665 I kind of agree with you but it's the part of the lictor came along and simply twisted the head of 2 of them that is bugging me. Too much similar to an imperial guard death if you compare it to such an elevation that a sanguinary guard has to go through to achiev such a position.

I dont understand the part where they say every casualty to the swarm hurts the hive, i mean, wouldnt the dead nids just be absorbed to create more? meaning the sanguinary guards deaths were literally for nothing? Would have been better off trying to find some sort of way off that plant, even if it would mean having to then face off against whatever is flying in the skies or in space.
