lol not bad. This show is so brutal. "Let's have amateurs go onstage in front of a packed live audience sitting with their arms crossed, plus a national internet audience, and rather than creating a lineup beforehand let's draw their names live from a hat (i.e. surprise performance, adrenaline through the roof), and let's have a panel of professional comedians sit next to them, and let's have those comedians roast the hell out of their set, and let's give them exactly one minute, and let's see if they can win the crowd..." anyone who manages even one successful joke under those circumstances gets a win in my book.

It’s a fair test of a new comedian imo. It’s not easy, but good comedians can consistently do well even in just a minute. The comedians also get a ton of exposure, so that’s worth being roasted for.
