I fought Rusty and Ayre in NG+ and still felt awful when fighting them, even though I told myself it was only my "non-canon" route to getting the true ending. Hearing their final voice lines almost had me saying out loud "THIS IS ONLY FOR THE TRUE ENDING, I'M SORRY!"

I was lucky enough to get the fires of raven ending first, felt terrible: but I atoned for my sins in later playthrough. Should've noticed I was doing the bad ending when all of my friends started attacking me.

I mean it was suitable, his pride got crushed in mere moments, and he got... prolly alot of "electricity" in there that must have melted him alive, not talking bout the fact he was fanatic for having most augmentations...

Chatty is the most tragic character - he dies in all three endings. He is killed by V.I Freud, he is killed by the protagonist or he is killed by Allmind.

Rusty dies in all endings as well, as Vlll implies he killed Rusty as he will “see him on the other side”

You missed a few! Taking down Chatty first has an alternate death line for both it and Carla. G6 has a fight in the true ending. There's one in Carla's grid mission near one of the secret coffers. Theres also a fight in the mission to get data on Rusty.

And technically V.VIII Pater didn't die in that ambush mission. In the escape mission V.VIII now promoted to V.V Pater uses his authority to change the order from recapture to kill 621

Also forgot the odd ones for Hunter Ranks as well, like the one on Grid 086, Eliminate the Enforcement Squads, etc... also G2 Nile on NG+, alt ending of kill V.VII where you kill the Liberation Front instead or kill V.VII after accepting his offer, there are so many lines in this game, it's almost impossible to get every one

I dont think thats necessarily the bad ending, in comparison the true ending with that "combat mode activated" in the end feels too omniousto be a "good" ending

It's the good route though? You literally single handedly ended an outright infestation just as the OG Rubiconians wanted. Walter, Carla and father Dolmya. The Overseer ending IS the good ending

@@fokjohnpainkiller yeah but you kill literally everyone in the whole ass star system of rubicon. youre also not guarenteed to have fully wiped out the coral. and even then, calling a collection of organisms that can think and feel, as shown by Ayre, an infestation is a bit far.

Ayre: *tries to reach you with a hand as to touch you, hoping up until her death that you won't do the unthinkable.* Iguazu: *tries to reach you with the laser trident to kill you, only for his last act of hate to be sabotaged by his own fury.* Damn, I like this direct contrast. I love how some of them accept their deaths with dignity, whether the crazy ones like Coldcall, the tired ones like O'Keefe, or the ones who respected you like Rusty. Then there's Snail lol

It’s a shame really, Maeterlinck’s va did an amazing job on her but she only has 6 lines. Her realizing that Snail isn’t coming for her and that she’s going to die is really tragic.

When i play it for more than five times i found it interesting. Despite under the order of V.II snotty who is your typical corpo bastard every Vesper seems isnt even that bad. Yes they are soldier for corps but starting from o keefe, he is very calm and cool he wish rusty safe when we kill him. Rusty being best buddy whole series is unquestionable. V.VI maeterlink seems have rather tragic fate, she is used as bait despite sounds like a loyal soldier as she still put faith to snotty to the very ends, if she in redguns michigan would jump out and save her without hesitattion. V.VII swinesburn obviously sounds like a bratty rookie who just gained rank but he also sounds like future V.II snotty. Now the interesting part is V.VIII pater, in arena he is described as someone who is kinda cold, follow mission without question and etc but when you goes into allmind route you can even feel all his emotion such as he hate us for killing o keefe , he said o keefe always look out for me and stuff. Make me wonder on completely different scenario most of our enemy wasnt even a bad person at all, And seeing michigan and his redguns, make me realize this kind of conflict is literally how most war on real world reflected on video game. Its not some evil mastermind try to destroy or conquer the world in like fps game. Its about every people having different agenda and fighting for what they believe. Even dunham put faith on us if we on liberation route more than rusty does. On real life two soldier of different country who wage war each other could be two dearest friend if isnt for war

I feel like eng dub despite being decent, has much less weight comapred to jpn dub(could blame the translation team theres much more to be said in their original lines but most of them were cut short
