London in '79 would have been awesome. Punk, New Wave, disco, electronica, ska. So many great bands and great sounds.

Bravo, Mr. Sakamoto, Mr. Takahashi and Mr. Hosono! Their music has been a inspiration ever since I saw the video for Firecracker in 1978.

@wandervision The irony with their visual kei comment is that Sakamoto himself had a bit of a glam-rock look (with make-up and all) during quite a few live performances back in the early 80s.
Brings back old memories of these Japanese musicians. I had, and I think now regrettably, forgotten about them. Lets make this up and ask for their music.

never knew they dislike metal so much, then I've always hated it too. hoho (don't let my friends know). Its probably that the intellectual "sensitive male type" turns to the piano, and the such guitar music is macho male music, which this band isn't. So we might say synths are for more feminine/YIN guys. Heavy metal is YANG.
