This is old, but... that's normal. The idea is that you're supposed to disclose anything that even *might* be a conflict, so that it's harder to argue later that you didn't realise you were meant to disclose something. So, like, if I did some work for a company once several years ago, that would be a situation where you disclose, and probably get told 'yeah, that's fine'. In this case there clearly was a conflict, of course.
