This video is a tribute to the Legend Late Lataji (1929-2022) whose voice has had an indelible influence in this world through her music. This is a transfer from the VHS videotape recorded in England in 1990 and preserved. No infringements are intended. There is no financial incentive . It is intended to basically preserve the recording in perpectuity and serve as an inspiration to all of us. She devoted her life to music over 7 decades and provided a spectrum of emotions through vocals , enhancing the musical compositions of several virtuosos of music and music directors in the Bollywood industry. The voice of the Nightingale lives on for ever.
Please note: Songs from Shagird, Mitwa , Mera Saya and Mughal- E- Azam have been removed from the Video to enable the Video to be uploaded unhindered.

She was such a pure innocent soul..The way she was talking about her childhood just amazing. Looks like she missed her happy childhood a great deal which abruptly cut short due to her father's untimely death.

If KZfaq takes this treasure down, I would feel sorry for them because this content is about the legend we all so love, and not about a handful of songs. Yesterday while driving, I was listening to Lata Jee and thinking that their must hardly be a second when someone, somewhere in the world not be listening to Lata Mangeshkar! Love her to the moon and back, from Lahore Pakistan 🇵🇰

A million thanks for sharing this great video & documentary on the greatest legend of India, Maa Saraswati Lata Mangeshkar! I had seen this on television in my teenage days and always believed it was one of the best special programmes dedicated to the Melody Queen and snippets of which have always been used in several other programmes. God bless you! Lata Lives forever in our hearts! 💚🎵🙏

Thank you!! I've been looking for this video for several years (had the VHS in 1991 which got destroyed with time). This is by far the best and most polished documentary on Lata Mangeshkar. This video hasn't been available for sale anywhere on the web ever, (probably some silly copyright issue over a handful of song(s)) and other versions of this video keep getting taken down from KZfaq. If KZfaq does take it down, do upload it at other sites. It's a shame how bad we are as a nation in preserving these historical documents in general (digital or otherwise).

या सर्व. जागा जतन करून ठेवायला हव्यात. म्युझियम करायला हवे. लताजी आत्ता जे सांगत होत्या ,आठवणी, ते पाहून मन भरून आले .आता लताजी ही राहिल्या नाहीत. डोळे भरून येताहेत.
