She said in many interviews that the producers of the show said she didn't have to sing if she didn't want to, she could just tell her story and where she is in life at that moment. However when they started to film she felt they switched it up on her and every scene with her was about her not wanting to sing and it being a problem.

@@mrexecutive you’re comparing apples and oranges. Basketball wives is about women who were connected to a basketball player. The women themselves never played basketball. The purpose of R&B divas was to show singers who haven’t been in the spotlight looking to make a return to music.

I was disappointed with Latavia because she could have used this show to make a true comeback for her career, but inside she fell into this ridiculous storyline of not being able to sing. Clearly a lot of deep-rooted issues. I wish her well and I do hope she gets therapy that she needs.

Maybe she lost her confidence in singing. LeToya Luckett said that she lost her confidence after getting kicked out of Destiny's Child and took her a minute to sing again. LaTavia can sing. It wasn't like she couldn't.

I totally get it with Latavia... She as an absolutely beautiful lower register. You could almost... ALMOST compare it to T-Boz from TLC. But being in the shadow of Destiny's Child and I'm sure she heard terrible things from spectators over the years... That's enough to make you not wanna sing. I mean just look at the comment section and how many people are saying, "she can't sing".

@@jamesbaxter222exactly she had childhood trauma and other bad situations after DC that made her turn to drinking and Letoya had to give up the homes she had because her boutiques weren't getting financial backing she secured a record deal for a boyfriend who offered letoya no help rrg has the video breaking it down preacher's kid got her out of that situation she's been acting steadily every since the show our kind of people missed out on something better came along latavia is doing well now releasing lingerie makeup and managing an r&b vocalist 2024 looks good for her ❤.

Sweet sixteen by Destiny's child is the only song I recall her singing a lead if you get a chance check it out; but her tone is lovely. The show told her she didn't have to sing if she didn't want to. Just talk about her life and her story. However they switched up once filming began which made her angry.

Yes...you singled yourself out by refusing to sing on a show about singing...you were the only one who did not want to sing...you absolutely singled YOURSELF out. I’ve been told I can sing through my whole life literally and back when I was like 17 I was in a Lil group of girls who had stringer voices and i’ll never forget one of the girls said “ I don’t think you can sing but you can hold a note” … after I that I haven’t sung publicly since idc how much encouragement people try to give or how many times I try to push myself it’s just something in me that don’t want to and lost the passion…. So I get latavia so much it’s crazy

Shes broken guys, family, substance abuse aside, shes broken. She can still sing, but she doesnt have the confidence of the other girls. Thats not her story. Ya'll expeted a debut album or something 🤣 she wanted to contribute not take centre stage. I'm glad to see that since this show shes blessed us with her vocals. She needs a jamming crew, you know a group of friends who do music for the love of it. Sje may never be a superstar singer again but if she can love it again we may be blessed a few more times.

That's not easy to get over something like that. We can't imagine how brutal it must have been for her. DC weren't just bandmates, they were her childhood friends. And Latavia was there when this group was being formed. Michelle wasn't part of the formation of the group. Latavia must have sacrificed a lot, even part of her childhood to perform with the group, so it has to be devastating for her. Everyone is different. Letoya may have made peace with the breakup and not Latavia. I do hope one day she does heal. I am a believer of therapy, so I hope she explore that option one day if she hasn't already.

So many insensitive bey stans here...anyone wit a soul can see whats goin on she got done wrong by a singer people hsve made into a god.... hints why these ladies were even on this show..heck angie stone was Beyonce's backup singer on fighting temptations....they jumpin on a gal who was set up to fail in a group that never had her best interests at heart none of them face thst shht before.
