Thanks for posting this. This is what the Disney Store that I grew up with looked like in Clackamas, Oregon just outside Portland. Meant to go one last time before they closed it. I have no idea why Disney didn't spend the money to refurbish it the way they did for other stores. It kinda turned into a point of pride after a while because I loved all of the cartoons they referenced. I saw how they remodeled other stores and I preferred the old style. I'm glad they're reviving Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers with Andy Samberg and John Mulaney but I never understood why Disney lets all these beloved properties just fade away into obscurity. Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Gummie Bears, etc. Our store had scenes referencing those shows but it was pretty similar to this one.

I remember when they also had Mickey's Kitchen there back in 1990. It wasn't bad, but it didn't last very long. It's now sad to see all that go.

I grew up going to the Disney Store at the Westfield Mall in Fairfield, California. It was almost like this, it had similar statues but the scenes were all different. Gosh, this is the end of an era.

Ah the memories. I miss this layout, and, of course, I’ll miss the Disney Store in general. Thanks for this video, it’s important to have this archived.

Some of those used to be mechanical, right? I seem to recall Daisy knocking that pot over and over and the Fantasia brooms twisting back and forth. I also recall for a while a lot of stores would have unique front window displays until they all went to that same generic one.

this is the actual disney store of my youth. it looked wayyy different but it evolved into this. sad to see it go
