How late in the day can you hunt turkeys? In this video I went on a late season-late afternoon hunt to answer that question. Sit back and come along with me into the Tennessee woods for some late season action.

Good hunt buddy, nice job moving around on him. That’s called woodsmanship. I only know a few hunters who can do it. One was a best friend of mine who just passed away a few days ago. Gonna miss him a lot.

I know how you feel Doug. I lost my turkey hunting friend several years ago as well. He will always be with me on every hunt, as I am sure your friend will be with you. Thanks for the compliment.

That certainly answered the question on how late you can successfully hunt. He sure liked that slate call. Another great video.

I always keep a traditional call like a slate or box in my vest. Sometimes they respond to them and nothing else.

I sure hope so. It's a lot of work, especially editing videos, but I'm having fun at the same time. I enjoy sharing my outdoor activities with you guys. I appreciate your support.

This late in the season, I go as often as I can. They seem to respond better in the late season. I guess because most of the hens are busy nesting.

Planning on going tomorrow evening on our last day to try one last time to get my first bird. Thanks for the great content.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm still somewhat new to this, but am starting to get the hang of self filming my hunting and fishing endeavors.

@@CumberlandOutdoorsman I just watched this video for the second time. I live in pa and we can not hunt the afternoon until may15th until the end of the month and every Saturday morning I’ve had it rained. So I’m at work now beautiful blue bird sky’s all this week, it’s the 10th now and I can’t hunt. But you better believe I’ll be out every afternoon next week. It’s probably going to be grown in a little more, but I’ll be out there either way, and like you said there’s worse places to be because I’m stuck at work right now and it seems like every nice day is during the work week, awesome video, thanks 👍🏻

@@garrettstraffon608 I really appreciate your comments. This season has been the toughest one yet for me. Cold, wet, and windy days have taken a toll on the gobbling activity, and the turkey population has also declined sharply in my area. I will try to get out there these last days of the season, and hopefully tag another gobbler.

I am an automotive alignment technician, but hope to be a full time outdoor video producer. For now though, I'm just having fun, and in the process of learning.
