The way I prevent ppl from missing their train is by holding the train doors open. 1. Bring a whistle to my train commute 2. Whistle when the doors are about to close to distract the guard (if someone is running to the train) 3. Usually that doesn't succeed, so I use a pre-prepared hard object to hold the train doors (NO BODY PARTS). 4. Doors re-open and passengers be happy.
