The Olive Garden rant-- F..ng hilarious. His encapsulation of working at Corporate restaurants-is brilkiant and spot on- . In like, 60 seconds. It shows he is an observer on a deep level.. Empathized as well which makes him relatable and even funnier. Pryor was an observer too. Dillon should reach that mountain top of comedy, if he hasn't already. Thank you.- we need it

I can't even hear the name Olive Garden without giggling as I recall Doug (Kevin Nealon) on Weeds, eating a fine Italian dish. Upon a companion mentioning that awful place, he abruptly halts his meal (mid-mastication, so palpable is the offense), sets down his utensils in anger, and interrupts the speaker to lock eyes and plainly state, "I wouldn't take a fucking shit at the Olive Garden." Immediately, he resumes his rapturous gustation after speaking the name, as if he had to banish it like some Lovecraftian eldritch monstrosity. Now that I mention that tree of a man, I would relish the news of Tim appearing as a guest on Hiking With Kevin.

Yeah, Olive Garden is the perfect encapsulation of the corporate dining experience: authenticity is the first thing ditched in order to save money, but the irony is they spend so much effort trying to save money, that it costs them money. I remember hearing that in order to save money, they'd buy cheap pots and pans that would degrade if you put salt in the water for pasta, which is common practice and helps add to the flavor, so they just left the salt out and covered up the blandness with too much cheap cheese and grease. I have no idea if they ever bothered to upgrade their equipment so they could do the bare minimum, but I doubt it.

Yes! I miss it too. By far the highlight was the cutaway to those scenes from Taxi Driver when he's talking about the staff at Olive Garden being "one bad day away from having a Travis Bickle moment".....I had literal tears in my eyes.
