I love that the writers at some point concluded that Brian McCann was the best man to play the recurring role of "angry audience member who walks off in a speedo".

That's one of the reasons Weinburg quit. Conan wrote skits for him to portray perverts. It's funny but many people thought it was real.

As I said "One of the reasons". If you watch enough of these old clips, you can see their relationship sour. Conan often taking cheap shots on air when Max can't reply.

I remember watching this late nights before school and during the summer in 2003-2006, great times. Conan was simply elite back then.

I tend to hate people pointing out "you couldn't do that today without being cancelled!!" about everything, but I have to say, it was refreshing to see how Max's bit was received as just another joke, with laughter and applause as the reaction, and then the show goes on.
