That would have interfered with any potential book deals they might have had. I actually liked that Navarro, not an attorney himself, is deciding to defend himself. I love that he put out a book detailing all about the time he spent in the Misadministration of Donnie Dimwit, and that he is claiming that he has some sort of "privilege" that applies to his testimony and documents. Donnie is not claiming privilege for Navarro, and neither is Biden, so there is no executive privilege applicable here. He is not, nor has he ever been, an attorney, nor was he Donnie Dimwit's attorney, or even an informal legal counsel. That means no attorney client privilege. He seems to think that him having to tell the actual truth under oath, thus discrediting every lie he told in his book somehow constitutes a privilege situation, but I don't recall ever running across a book publisher's privilege. These people who are at least seven cards short of a full suit of cards let alone a deck, these are the people Donnie Dimwit is relying upon for his coup efforts. And the proper question is why didn't they say anything about this in November of 2016, you know the first time he tried this BS?

They have repeatedly admitted that they were trying to stop Congress from certifying the election results. Sometimes I wonder if they are really this stupid. Then I realize that they have been getting away with it for a very long time

@@1newme425 I think that a lot of us didn't need them to say it because it was obvious just from their own words. If everyone who is speaking now had spoken up then (ESPECIALLY Ivanka), things might have been different. Most of them would still have believed that the election was stolen. However, I don't think that they would have been emboldened to riot. These people are mostly cowards. You can tell that by their behavior in court on the lowest charges possible.

That's the thing. They all knew it was BS and they had actually investigated it and found it to be BS. Yet, they let this go on and on. If they had said something and the Republicans (the sane ones, anyway) said something, then 1/6 probably would not have happened. Why did they never learn that you cannot just "humor" this sick man and think that he would just get with the program. Instead, they let it fester to the point where he is still insisting the election was stolen and millions of his cult members believe him.

Yet they spent months claiming that it was part of a a Democratic Party scam. They actively discouraged THEIR OWN SUPPORTERS from taking even the most benign preventative measures. Then, they discouraged them from getting vaccinated. All the while telling everyone that might write a book how dangerous it was.

Thank you for covering this. So many lawyer tubers and youtubers covered the Johnny Depp trial which I loved and yet haven't for the Jan 6th. Both benefits being covered, most importantly the one involved saving our Democracy. To me that is sad to see as it is about our Democracy. In Oregon, the "PROGRESSIVES" have an EXPERIMENTAL Drug program in which they let the drug users get off with hardly any repercussions but the problem is that they are vulnerable in some way and they are dying of overdoses. They now have the worst rate of deaths due to overdose in the nation! Playing with people's LIVES - EXPERIMENTING - is reminiscent of the Nazi playbook. You can't conduct EXPERIMENTS on people. And most parents would never give their kids dangerous drugs to play with. They also let raising marijuana be legal until they saw in their EXPERIMENT that the Mexican cartels were growing huge amounts of M-J but they weren't paying any taxes. Well, duh. My father didn’t like these kind of shows necessarily, but he did like Seth’s a closer look. He passed away from Cancer in October 2019. I miss SO bad sending him my favorite Seth Meyers clips and later getting together with him watching it together and laughing our butts off on all these funny Trump burns so much. 😂

That is interesting. Seth has said that youtube was the actual bleeper not the network (referencing corrections) but that wouldn't make so much sense here unless youtube didn't process the audio correctly and fails open (plus that seems sus anyway lol). I wonder if there is a network policy regarding not censoring quotes that are significant in a political/historical context.

They didn't bleep Barr on network TV the other night, either, probably because it is part of the historical record or maybe simply because it is such a blunt assessment against Trump's ridiculous claims of fraud, I don't know, but NBC doesn't want Seth to get away with swearing just for entertainment's sake. That might run afoul of the FCC and get them fined.

Agreed! You know how you can tell that Seth is really a nice guy, and not just playing one on TV? For me, it's the fact that he goes out of his way to bring his staff into the limelight and try to enhance their careers. He seems to be a mentor to them as well as a boss, and to truly want them all to succeed. A lot of stars seem to be afraid of the people who work under them stealing any of their thunder; Seth shares his thunder around.
