How do you go from a Harvard graduate to a TV show comedian?

Colin is a writer, an actor, and comedian, all of which are better performed by someone educated. I don't know about you, but I prefer a smart joke to a dumb one. I'm not sure what your assumptions are about comedy writing, or if you just are a Harvard grad and stuck up about it, but maybe he is doing what he loves and it's none of our business either way. I'm just glad he's out there making me laugh. For the record, plenty of other well-educated people make their living in comedy. Conan O'Brian went to Harvard. Demetri Martin, John Hodgman, and Lewis Black all went to Yale. Ellie Kemper went to Princeton. I'm sure there are more, but maybe consider that there is more to what they do than simple talent. I cheer anyone who furthers their education, even if they spend the rest of their lives doing menial work. The only way to waste an education is to not learn anything.

Abulayi Besdes / in addition to Conan etc al are scores of lesser-knowns who've done it and could provide insight. But I'd skip Chevy. That'll go tits-up on the best of days. Harvard's basically a feeder-school for Lorne. Dartmouth, on the other hand, gave us Laura Ingram and Dinesh D'Souza. THERE'S your lede... Ingram, Geraldo, Megyn Kelly all have law degrees but would rather shovel at on Fox news. Go figure.
