Or they're saying he's giving more than he has to give. If he can't yet he's still giving something, then he's spending beyond his means, which is more of a reason for the wife to be to be concerned. Absolutely agree with the rebuttals. When the son gains a wife he leaves his parents and cleaves to his wife. No one is implying that you leave your family alone. But when mama leaves this earth…. Wife is by his side. You can not let parents dictate how you show up in your own household. Patents will not let their CHILDREN dictate what goes on in theirs. They are now parents. They have to raise their household the way they see fit.

Can I ask if you are married? Because if I tell you how its DIFFERENT once you take the leap and commit to your person. My husband comes first and he puts me first above his mother and his mother is a single parent but cutting the cord is a healthy part of life. We still do holidays and weekends with both sides of the family HOWEVER our nuclear family comes first.

That woman just wanted his mom to move in so she would have a FREE built in baby sitter. That fiancee just wanted to use his mom like a house maid, cooking, cleaning and baby sitting while they work or do their own thing. It was very smart of his mom NOT to move in with them since it had NOTHING to do with love on his fiancee side. It was only for their convenience for his mom to move in. If she had moved with them, it wouldn't have worked out well.

@@misslady5029 she's used to using that to make him feel guilty. He can't afford to pay but she demands his attention.. I'd bet money that she gets a lot of small payments to make up for the rent. The brothers transitioned payments recently. But that doesn't account for years before. And her not knowing her granddaughter is a her thing because she felt slighted a woman who'd just given birth didn't lay out the red carpet. I wish Tracy had really discussed how manipulative the mom really is. And recommended a local therapist straight away.

Actually I think it was critical for them to be on the show because they had a child. They needed to have a cohesive family relationship in order to raise a child in a loving environment. All of the other couples could walk away with no attachments , but this couple would always have to maintain contact because of the child.

It really seemed like mom and fiance really loved each other, they only began a tense relationship after the moving-in debacle. Perhaps God put in on her heart to not move in specifically to allow all this to unfold.

In some states they do but regardless a grandchild who does not get to experience the joy of a grandmother's love loses something very valuable in their life that cannot be replaced. It's more valuable than gold. Grandparents spoil the grandkids rotten and all children deserve that special bond if possible.

@@alwaysaccurate8725 and I totally agree with all of that but there are better ways to handle her to get to that point. She's set in her ways, the son could still provide for her well-being. It's just MORALLY right. He can chose to disengage completely and that's up to him.

I don't think the issue is taking care of his mom. I think the issue is that there is no agreement between husband and wife. They can together decide to support her. The starting point should be their family (leave and cleeve etc.).

He’s a full of it . He’s gaslighting her. The issues she’s having with his momma is actually issues she’s got with him. He needs to put firm boundaries with his momma.
