francisco diaz Same here. I'm Colombian but I don't speak with an "obnoxious" accent since I came to the U.S. when I was a toddler, I was never involved in drugs or gangs, my English isn't limited, and I'm in college.

This was actually hilarious omggg and west side story is so old and the arguements we have now a days about moving to America are the same lol how sad. But I'm not a victim of the ignorant culture in America... you learn to rise above it and move on with your life. It doesn't define you after all

To be fair on the speaking spanish when angry thing, I have seen my friends that are not great in their second languages, wanting to express their anger through words but they can only use their mother tongue better . I would say the bad aspect of this stereotype is how overused it can get for the sake of comedy.

I really enjoyed that song and I thought everyone was beautiful Plus they really brought up some great points about America on both sides of the arguments.

Yes...it always make wonder; why when Hollywood portrait Latinos, more in the old school, dancing or singing, they use flamenco... absurd. But I lived in some countries in Europe and when I said I was from Mexico the first comment was.."Oh!!!..South America... yes not only in USA. And when I said ey !! America is not only United States...tell me if I'm wrong. Only the French are European? Make me hate my years in college when I had to study for hours the history and geography of Europe. Absurd

Scarface, west side story apperantly native soeakers of Spanish will only speak English amongst themselves when they set foot in the states.

The feisty and speaks Spanish when angry is somewhat right. I'm Hispanic, but not Latina, and when I'm angry I go straight to Spanish, and I have a temper. I don't know about Hispanic Americans, but those who come from our real countries are usually like that.

Al pacino is not hispanic he is siciliano. Cubans are not involved in drugs, scarface was based on the criminal escape of Cuban immigrants and it happened he was involved

Italians are latin people. Just like all the people who once were part of the roman empire. Spanish people, italic people, french people, portuguese people. REAL and original latinos are from Europe. Of course ignorant people in the united states dont know that because you learn history from movies and the media and not from books.

Es cierto pero básicamente la información que di es así. Lo "latino" deriva de lo romano. Tené en cuenta que los "anglosajones" no existían en gran bretaña cuando parte de esta era romana sino que la invadieron luego. Los anglosajones aunque cueste de creer no son "nativos" de las islas británicas sino que son un pueblo conquistador e invasor de las mismas. Los franceses son "latinos" también aunque no se le parezcan a los españoles o italianos salvo en el sur de francia. Todos los terriotorios conquistados por el imperio romano fueron conquistados por su cultura en mayor o menor medida. El imperio romano duro 500 años. No se conoce otro caso de tanta duración de un imperio.

Es cierto pero justamente creo que era la parte oriental del imperio romano que nunca se desarmó.
