Victoria made two of the absolute greatest players ever to play Jeopardy look like absolute chumps tonight. She isn't one to mess with! I think if anyone could pull an upset victory against James overall in the Masters it's her.

@@manodakshin6020Both of them are known for being elite quizzing and trivia players in the trivia world, and I think Victoria is ranked first in the entire country. Given that Masters level clues are pretty much expected to be tougher I kinda do think that will tailor to both of their benefit. That's not to say James still doesn't have a chance though, I think he may have been in shock the first go around with Yogesh since he's used to most of the clues Yogesh had buzzed in on being triple stumpers and so I'm sure will hopefully reel back from the shock of defeat the next time around. I hate to make an early call, but unless something insane happens I fail to see how the finals are anything other than James/Yogesh/Victoria.

Fun fact: Because the JIT semifinals were Victoria Groce, Sam Buttrey and Matt Jackson, and the Finals were Andrew He, Victoria Groce, and Amy Schneider, AND Victoria won game 1 of Jeopardy Masters, Victoria's already off to a great start by having defeated 5 out of the 6 Masters from last year! Victoria Groce now also defeated 5 superchampions in her career (David Madden in 2005, Matt Jackson and Amy Schneider in JIT, and Matt Amodio and Mattea Roach in Masters), making her the giant killer to have defeated the most superchampions! Victoria is also the first player to defeat two Jeopardy GOATs since Andrew He in game 1 of last year's Masters, and defeated Matt and Mattea in a runaway. Victoria is the first player to defeat a superchampion (let alone 2!) in a runaway since Jared Watson defeated 22 game champion Cris Pannullo in the game 2 of the 2024 Tournament of Champions quarterfinals. Victoria is also the first player to compete against two superchampions since Jennifer Quail in the JIT semifinals, who played against David Madden and Amy Schneider.

I've just watched 7 shows, couldn't get 1 question right. I did better yesterday when I got the right answer when the other contestants didn't. The category determines how smart you are. Some people I know have said I should try out for Jeopardy. I tell them, "No way! They've already asked the easy questions."
