She's not competing at Indonesian Idol.. She was performing there. She has a musical background since young, even competing in Junior Asian Electone competition (she mastered in electone & piano) , then she got a scholarship for Musical Performance in Singapore & London. That's why her background is more classical. She sang mostly pop in the beginning of her career, but now she's exploring a different genre of music that she likes.

Those drummer are Yandi Andraputra (25 yo) and Roy Ibrahim (15 yo)... you must be surprised that Roy Just only 15 years old but his drum skill is fantastic!

Isyana is a classically trained singer who composed her own music. And Lexicon is the title of her third album which took 180 degrees turn from her first two mainstream albums. She recently released two singles of symphonic metal genre and is currently releasing a series of acoustic version of her Lexicon album's songs. You might want to check out those songs, a warning though they are not at all mainstream. The drummer of DeadSquad is the teen sensation Roy Ibrahim (only 16!), and Isyana's session drummer is Riyandi Andaputra. You can see more of Yandi in the Lexicoustic series, he even sing one of the songs.

Isyana actually a trained classical who performs Opera. Just check & react to her Opera Aria. But for her mainstream debut she did pop with touch of RnB then back to opera with touch of rock for her latest album.

Isyana wasn’t from Idol. Her basic music is clasiccal. She learn & master for seriosa vocalist and playing very good in classical piano in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts &London’s Royal College of Music She is a prodigy. Started her career in pop genre but now she become in her own genre. She wrote her own songs, compose, arrange & play the instrument by her own.
