Nina was in the same era as MYMP (with Juris), Freestyle, etc. That style was the one really popular then along with alternative rock bands. It's also quite around that time the R&B artists like Kyla and Jay-R came into the picture. It's safe to say that power vocals and ballads are more of a staple in the PH's music industry, rather than it being a trend. No matter what's popping in the moment, a powerful ballad will make the hit alongside the songs outside of the genre. I think that's a little bit of the misunderstanding you guys have towards the "power belting trend" in the music industry here. It did start as a trend first, back in the 80s as pioneered by the likes of Dulce, Regine, etc., but since then it has become a staple genre more than a momentary trend.

Nina's voice and style just make you wanna enjoy the music, groove and relaxed 🥰🥰

what i like most about Nina is her taste in music.she became more popular because of the "covers/revivals" she did and her choices of song are so beautiful and they perfectly match her voice and singing style that she did not even have to belt. Ps. Belting is actually a staple in the Philippines,not really a trend 😊
