Atif Aslam is the singer of the highest caliber. The song Tajdar-e-haram is dedicated to the prophet Mohammed. The song is written by a poet called Hakim Mirza Madani born in 1553 and died in 1585 and was the second son of Mughal emperor Hamayun. This type of song is called "NAAT". Atif Aslam shows his class and vocal control and can be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates greatness.

@@dharangrana4902 Well I want to reply to you…… but all I can say is….. learn about him ( The prophet ) from truthful resources and not media or politicians and you will know whether he created terrorism or not…….. if you are talking about the Mughal emperor or his son, then i can’t comment on that…….. Why do you think he created terrorism? Like, can you tell me why you believe so……. Just bear in mind, if some people spread terrorism in his name, it doesn’t mean that he has taught to do so…… unless you have studied his life yourself and have strong points to believe what you believe, it is a dumb act to level such allegations

Wow I'm truly floored by your reaction. Yes it is in fact true, this music is devotional and spiritual. Music of this this kind is called Qawwali, it dates back to more than 700 years old. It is in praise to the universal God, the creator which is why it hits the divine trance like vibes and that is why it resonates with you, with I. Transcending language, age, nationalities and all such barriers.

It is a religious song .. guys .. its an invitation to go to Medina/Mecca to pray/worship (possibly a reference for people who go on Hadj ..or pilgrimage to the Kaaba) . Unless you guys in South America listen more often to old Spanish songs you won't be as familiar with Arabic music elements of Spanish music, so maybe that is why you have this inclination to like it because you have it in your Spanish blood :D . The accordion boxed instrument is called a Harmonium. It is a pump organ or sorts whose scales have been slightly modified to fit the this kind of music. Thanks for sharing and reacting.

This is South Asian music. Maybe we can call it desi music ? 😂 But the instruments here are Indian instruments like the Tabla (drum like) while harmonium is also huge part of Indian classical music & in Pakistan as well. The language is urdu, which i probably find one of the most beautiful languages. The words are so beautiful, I don't know how to explain it 😂 but anything in urdu is lyrically so fantastic. Atif is Pakistani but also sings for Indian film/music industry Bollywood, he signs in urdu or hindi. He is huge in India & Pakistan. South Asian music is amazing & very different in technical aspects. Today we hve an amazing blend of classical music & western style of music here along with classical music still preserved.

The reason it's familiar but foreign for the Latine is the Spanish-Arabic connection during the Andalusian Caliphate. Spanish itself is born of Latin and Arabic. A lot of shared words and grammatical structures. (ojala inshallah, azzucar ash-shakkar, hasta hattaa, ...) Spanish also shares a lot of words with Xorasani languages (Dari, Faarsi, Urdu). Including a lot of vulgar words.

So basically coke studio are pretty popular in India and Pakistan , the singer you reacted to right now was like the biggest singer in india and sang one of the most hit songs here in India but due the ongoing tension between india and Pakistan he had to return to his country but again he has started working with Bollywood as far as I know , you should check out more coke studio performance both of Pakistan and india cause the singing style the authenticity the originality is far different from rest of the country and you would be surprised to know that many of the western instruments are originated from india and Pakistan !! ( P.S - the instrument you were curios about is called harmonium its a very popular instrument in pak and india and is known as traditional piano )

He is our legendary singer, Atif Aslam of Pakistan. The language is Urdu, Persian and Arabic. He is from Pakistan. It is a very famous praise of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The instrument is Harmonium and Tabla ( giving sound like drums). Sabri brothers are really famous for this beautiful composition. Listen to another Legend Amjad Sabri son of Sabri. He was killed in 2017. He was only 42. His last performance on Coke studio got on air after his dearh. It is a form of genre called Qawali. The reason you felt connected because it's all spritual. Please listen to Atif Aslams Coke Studio " Asma e Husna"

You've seen Atif in his spiritual mode here. One of my favourite performances by him is a ballad called Channa, also by Coke Studio. I think you'll enjoy that performance. It was the one year Coke Studio Pakistan tried an experimental format in that they had musicians in different countries playing various instruments remotely to the songs. It was such a cool idea. And you really see Atif carrying those musicians along just with the strength of his vocals. If you do watch that video, pay special attention to the expressions on the faces of the musicians. It's a treat to watch.

Not very surprising because Pakistan was literally part of India before 1947. Culture and arts of a place take thousands of years to develop so Pakistani music is the same as Indian music. Even their national language, Urdu, is an Indian language. Just elaborating what u said and why its not surprising why they are same. 😊
