The true Mexicans are brown dark skinned people. The mexicans on this video are from Jalisco this means that they come from a part of Mexico where the Spaniards that landed in Mexico found a little town and they made it to be only spaniards who could live there. They did not let them mix with the indigenous people but over the years they started mixing with the indegious people from Mexico & other coutries too. So that's why in Jalisco there is more whiter blooded mexicans there than anywhere in Mexico b/c Spaniards built a town just for them so that they would not have to mix with the mexican people. The government covered up a lot of history for many years. Not everyone was mixed with spain and indegieous blood that was a lie that the government made up for years. If you notice here the people here are not only mixed with european blood they are mixed with iitalian & other races

I remember hearing something about a Spanish man talking to a Latin American and he says “your ancestors stole and colonised my land” and the Spanish guys says “no they didn’t, your ancestors did, my ancestors stayed in Spain”. And it makes you think for all the talk about colonisation by the “evil” Spanish they forget that THEY ARE the colonisers just the same as the other European colonisers of the US and Canada.

Columbus' main goal was to prove he can get to India going the other way around the world, to prove it is not flat and to have a different trade route to India. His discovery of North and South America was purely accidental, hence why he called them "Indians" because he thought he was in India.

I'm Latina and I came out 87% European. This is a little cringe at the way they reacted to their European percentage. So racist, there's nothing wrong and OBVIOUS that it would be there. Plus whatever else in various degrees. Who cares we are all mixed and human.

I checked the hispanic box after I had my son in the hospital and a nurse or someone changed it to "white non-hispanic"

In South America if you're white it's literally more dangerous for you in daily life as you stand out and are perceived to have more money. There is no such thing as a "latin ethnicity" in genetics . Latin can refer to two different things when it comes to a person's ethnic background: either they are a mix of latin speaking Europeans with Native Americans and/or Africans ( what Americans call latino) or they are mostly European from a romance language speaking country ( though you will never hear an Italian or Portugese refer to themselves as latin as the term is used mostly in linguistics). Peace.

@@kazim4734 From what I understand these tests go back more than a couple hundred years. Using your logic everybody born in your region would be 100% north Indian because they are a mixture of the groups you mentioned, that is a fair point in your particular scenario. The thing when it comes to latinos is tougher because it is a matter of definition. For instance, I am Brazilian and my dna results show 95.4% European, 4.2% indigenous American, 0.4% Southeastern African. On the other hand an average Mexican is around 50% European, 50% indigenous (depends on the area), so are we both 100% latinos even though our DNA and physical apperance may vary considerably? Furthermore, if a large portion of my dna comes from central and northwestern Europe ( out of typical latin-speaking areas) can I be considered 100% latino? This is what I mean when I say that claiming someone is 100% latino is incorrect. Even those born in Spain ( where the language is highly influenced by latin) vary widely, with some people having more northern European DNA and others Iberian or North African, none of which come from the latin homeland in Italy. So are they latinos? At the end of the day its all how you define latino: if you mean to designate someone from Latin America or Latin speaking Europe latino then sure you can say they are 100% latinos simply for being born there. But when it comes to genetics and ethnicity you simply cannot say someone is 100% latino because there is no standard latino.

Ironically mestizos were the opresor class. There weren’t enough women for the colonizers so they mixed real fast and their mestizo kids went on to run the haciendas which enslaved indigenous. All of them even have the appearance of your typical southern European just google images of an isolated group of indigenous and they have zero resemblance.

The one named Monica with the nose ring went to my Lancaster Catholic high school in PA and we did a ton of theater together. We all took classes about black history, and really no one was racist there. I’m online friends with her and she still has this video posted on her wall. She hasnt learned anything from all of these comments. She’s proud of this video still. It isnt the educational system that caused this. It’s her consumption of radical social media channels. The only win for us in all of this is that her social media post of this video only received 3 likes

Dominican here: There´s no "dominican gene", most Dominicans are African + European, and a small porcentage of native Taino. Ofcourse it varies from person to person, some people, spacially in the Southwest, have more Taino than European, for example. But I´m not surprised she didn´t got a "dominican" marker. Also this shows probably the DNA company hasn´t done much research in the country to have specifics about us.

They do have specifics bro. If her mom was really Dominican the dna results would mention the island of hispañola but it didn’t. Her mom had to be a recent immigrant to the country.

I am a white man through and through raised by my two black adopted parents, I showed this to get their reaction and they were just shocked to the core as was I, just because I am white and my parents are black I don't see them as better or worse than me and vice versa for them. It is videos featuring people like this that show just how little progress these people really have made, if this is their reaction to maybe been a bit white, my mum actually had alot of profanity to say to the self entitled black women on the video, she was not kind and I am not surprised.

And this is why I've always been opposed to people flaunting their so-called 'heritage' each time they talk about what they are. "Oh, I'm African-American." Are you born in the US? Then you're a US citizen. "I'm Italian." Are you born in Italy? If not, then no, you're not Italian. "I'm Latino/Latina." Do you hail from Latin-America, as in, you were born and raised there? If not, then no, you're not. There's also the added layer of 'what does it say in your passport'? If you emigrated to another country and got your passport issued there, then you are, objectively speaking, a citizen of that country. You can of course say that you originally come from [insert country here] and you'd have a good argument when stating that you are actually Mexican/Chinese/whatever other nationality, but when you're born and raised in a country, have that country's passport, then you are that country's nationality. But as long as people cling to stuff like this, there will never be an end to all the polarisation and idiocy and inherent racism - what the hell is wrong with being white, black, Asian, or whatever? - that is supported by this way of thinking. Also, how racist is it to react to being told you're European and then go like 'oh, I was disappointed, but no offense' or just bluntly stating 'I'm glad I'm not white'. And for the record: apparently I have Polish ancestry (I'm Dutch), with living relatives in Poland, but I have never even once thought, let alone said, that I am 'Polish-Dutch' or something like that. Because I'm not. I'm Dutch. I was born in the Netherlands, so I'm Dutch. That's how easy it is.

I don’t get why people are scared of being white? I get that it’s not popular but like are you scared of yourself? It’s really sad.. @@MissCleo24 My mom is 2nd gen Salvadoran and my bio dad is distant Irish. Apparently those Irish genes are strong bc I’m blue eyes and freckles in a family of brown hair/brown eyes/olive skin. My dad left when I was 6mos old and all I remember is my mom’s family. So I can see how people can be disappointed to see Anglo genes if you identify so much with your family culture. ❤️❤️ I get kind of bummed too lol. All my cousins speak Spanish and I look like the Wendys girl. I look more like the side that didn’t want me. 🤷♀️ so it gets complicated for ppl I suppose.
