Latka is a brilliant character, and the reason I love Taxi, but Jim! Jim is incredibly funny. Imagine a Jim and Latka spin off - like dysfunctional Perfect Strangers.

Thanks Orson, I too was blown away by Kaufman's sincerity in this. He's just so slender here. Robin Williams was great, but Andy is so transparent here, and it seems effortless in comparison. What could've been...

A lot of great shows in the late seventies and throughout the '80s. But Taxi's writing, acting, and direction were the trifecta of comedy.

Rumor has it, Andy Kaufman always thought poorly of OJ. Going so far as to say he believed OJ would be a killer if not a baller. That was a joke he stuck in there, after they were disgusted by indoor toilets and dogs and eating chicken. Truly a genius

We all know this - I have gone thru this - leave all my loved ones and come to a different country - much crying, so much pain - but then why do we do it? Because we HAVE to - it's part of growing up And that's the difference between Heaven and Reincarnation Heaven is the home that we MUST leave - we are grown up now, our parents can't take care of us forever, we have to leave the nest Heaven is the nest and Reincarnation is us leaving the nest Heaven is the past and Reincarnation is the Future Heaven is the Childhood that we must leave behind and Reincarnation is the Adulthood that we must embrace
