@@markoj.7675 In Polish, it would be: "Jadę do tureckiej ziemi" (you could technically also add Polish word "jusz" after "jadę", which more or less means "now", but that would ruin the rhythm of the song). By the way, whenever you have an "i" letter after "Z" (I forgot to add another "i" in the original comment, very important, it is placed after the regular "z" in "ziemi"), then the "z" sound in Polish changes into a Polish "ź" sound, and whenever you have an "i" after "S", the "s" becomes exactly like the "ś" in "świat"- which means "world". That's why the "Z" in "Ziemi" is pronounced as a Polish "ź", because of the additional "i", and also an "i" after "c" letter becomes a "ć" too, like the Polish word "ciebie" (accusative of "you" personal pronoun). And any time you have a "sz" or "cz" combination in Polish, those sounds become like a bit like "sh" and "ch" respectively, but much softer even. Polish is a bit different from the rest of the Slavic languages, in that the pronunciation is more "relaxed" and "wide", because in places where other Slavic languages might have more regular "s" and "c" and "z", Polish replaces those with ć, ś, ź, sz, and cz, making Polish sometimes difficult to understand for other Slavic speakers. There is no "zelta" or "Mamin" in Polish though, maybe in Serbian for all I know. There is regular form of "mama" for "mother" in Polish, or you could have "mamo" too (when you are formally addressing her), or even you could have the very rare "mamuniu" (when you are addressing her, but in a cute mushy diminutive way). For "gold'", you say "złoto", and "yellow" would be "żółty kolor", and "green" would be "zielony kolor".

As Latvian yes, Latvian does have some germanic influence to it, but also Russian influence due to the USSR. Some words in Latvian language were completely made new in resistance movements back then since it was forbidden to speak in Latvian for years during that regime. where the hell did you get the Romanian one? I don't think it's true that there is even such a saying in Romanian. The only thing that remained from the wars with the Ottomans is the word "turc" which means deaf, silly person, and Turkish Person at the same time. (Esti Turc can mean Are you Turkish or are you silly?)

Various Turkic groups have varying origins, perhaps the Oghuz Turks had a greater connection to Siberia in their roots. It seems to be most common in southwestern Anatolia where i live, natives of this area are largely of Yörük descent, nomads. Asiatic features are not so uncommon.

The Balts (Lithuanians & Latvians) were occupied by Tsarist Russia at some point and young Baltic men were forcibly drafted by Russians to fight on their side during the Russo-Turkish wars.

It is a bit of a far fetch, but I was taught in school that it's very possible pagan Latvians (before Tsarist times, since Latvians are somewhat de facto pagan) would go off to war as far as Turkey. Their ships were much alike those of Scandinavian vikings and could navigate narrow waterways (rivers, and the such) and arguably could be transported over land even using a rolling log method (put a bunch of logs next to each other with the boat on top and and roll forward, moving the previous log to the front) Also, archaeologists have found Roman imperial coinage and trinkets in Latvia, which just proves to show that even way back in the day, people still found a way to cross vast distances, so it's not too far out there of an concept

Er... Where has anyone written that this song is from the Bronze Age? The costumes this folk group is wearing are reconstructed according to Bronze Age material. However, the song is more recent than that (though it's also drawing upon earlier influences) and nobody was claiming otherwise AFAIK.

@@frangrasyanturanshah1827 Latvia used to be a part of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth which fought with Ottoman Empire in 17th century. It is very likely, that some of the Latvians could take part of these wars.
