It's not really a regional accent at all. It's just a white person trying to act all Urban and Hip-Hop to sound like they got swag. Eminem and Justin Timberlake spoke like this back then too, but just like Pink you will notice that they speak differently nowadays. I still see people like this on occasion who will speak with that Urban accent around other people who do and then speak totally different around others who don't. It's actually funny to watch how they change voices on command.

I won't lie, when she first came out mainstream I thought she was light skinned black or mixed too lol didn't really give a sh*t tho cuz those vocals!! Been a fan for almost 20 years n loved watching her evolve into the strong, beautiful woman, wife n mother that she is today

For me, I became such a fan when she went more rock with “you and ur hand”. I think that’s a big part of her you can’t deny. She deserves all her hard earned success because she has a lot to offer the world. Ya know what? If more Americans had the balls to be outspoken on social fronts like racism, sexism, family cohesiveness etc yet empathetic like her, the country would be better off!!!

@elishot It was her idea to dye her hair pink since the very beginning. That was not the record company's doing at all. The way she dressed, her hair, the way she carried herself, her personality - it was all her, even back then. That's been made clear on every biography-type show on P!nk. P!nk herself has been consistent in saying that even in her more recent interviews. The only thing she didn't have control of was the music she was singing.

The song you mention isn't as R&B as her stuff from her first album. I'd like to see her work with someone like Jermaine Dupri. I understand why she doesn't want to do that style of music on the whole, but think it would be cool to see her do it one more time.

@servantdust1 She's grown quite a bit these past 10 years which is to be expected. She took a new direction with her music and even her accent has changed. All in all though, she's still the same person. Her personality hasn't changed much at all. It's easy to see in other footage of her from the early years of her career. She basically has the same morals, and beliefs, and still has that same contagious laugh; she's just gotten a little older and wiser.

Pink was bad a$$ back when I was 5 going on 6 when I first heard her on the didn't know what year it was until I found out it was the year 2000 now here I am 20 years later 25 going on 26 in September 3 days after her birthday which hers on the 8 and mines on the 11 we 15 years apart.
