I like that thin wall board idea! My bathroom has some pretty damaged walls from years and several owners' worth of random placements of towel bars and hooks, but to gut the walls and redrywall would be so expensive! I love the shiplap wall with hooks and the floating bench! Must haves in the house. I do not have such a space and my 4 kids’ belongings were all over the place. It drove me nuts!!

I loved that dark wall so much that I copied it in our mudroom!! Our kitchen cabi ets are dark gray and by the mudroom so it was perfect, it turned out beautifully!! Thank you sooo much for sharing this!

I used a long cabinet drawer pull and placed it underneath the shelf to hang clothes. Saw it on pinterest.

I enjoy your makeover videos. Although tastes may differ you give us ideas and motivation. I’m fortunate also that my husband is talented and he is putting a hardwood floor in our living room now. It saves so much money and I think it is done better when you do it.

Beautiful makeover. Love the shiplap. You can get aluminium pipe cut to size to fit that little corner for a railing if that's what you're looking for. That's what I did for towel rails in my house. Bought one pipe and made several towel holders for both bathrooms in the house.

The shiplap is great inspiration for me. We have a utility closet we are converting to a laundry room and it’s got a yucky texture on the wall. Like an old version of texture. ❤

I love the makeover! I'm happy that it has all come together for you. Don't "worry" about the dining room chandelier- think of it this way....the one you want isn't available yet😉! I really like the black pepper throughout your home, I think it helps tie it all together. And the coathooks are totally YOU! I'm not totally into the mid-century modern (although I like some aspects - like your chandelier and coathooks) all you need to do is find some atomic dishes and use those throughout the house. 😆

What a beautiful laundry room! My area is just large enough for the washer/dryer. I can't believe I never thought of the shelf directly over the back of the washer and dryer. It would give me room to store my detergent and would certainly eliminate my dropping things behind and trying to fish them out. Thanks for sharing!

I love Momma from Scratch!!! I have not read the comments yet, so this may be a repeat. Get two 12"-15" plant hangers, attach into studs on the (door) wall, and add a dowel for a rod. At least it would hold 3-6 items. 2nd idea. Use two J hooks and a dowel but screw into the upper shelf. Love the remodel!

this turned out great must be laundry room season, I am starting to redo mine been working on it for awhile getting the supplies etc started it then got sick and was laid up thenhad to work alot of extra hours to cover the bills, Hope to start again this weekend, Just got text from my sister she is redoing her laundry room as well lol only thing missing was oaklynn cameo :)

Lynn its lovely....for a hanging rod just use 2 plumbing elbows, 2 pipe flanges and 1 short straight pipe...you can spray paint them any color you want, and attach it to the underside of the shelf.

Love how you have perfectly used the old “sunshine ceiling” by finding that fixture that uses the whole recessed area. Awesome! So nice to rid yourself of the flourescent lights, right? Anyhow the whole room looks great!✌🏼

Very nice! My husband and I are right in the middle of actually creating a mudroom/laundryroom. We have five kids, almost 7 and under, a dog, and a cat. My laundryroom was smaller than yours if you can imagine that 😂. Anyway we came up with a design the removed a wall, sacrificed a playroom and created a spacious laundryroom/mudroom right off my kitchen with entrance into our garage. We refinished the floors last weekend and put up the new wall two days ago. Still lots to be done but we are both so excited about the news space that's coming together! So much fun!

Lynette, your room is GORGEOUS! Well done, my dear!! The dark wall, bench & hooks look so great! Your light fixture is amazing! All you need for a hanging rod is a broom or a yard tool handle cut to fit the space. Tie with leather or rope to hang, or use 2 large hooks! (You can even make it removable so it isnt there ALL of time.) Also, please consider putting some kind of gripping mat under your lovely detergent jar. This is my first time here; now I'm a new subscriber!! Can hardly wait to see more! 💖 God bless you & your lovely family!

You could get a small towel holder like for dish /hand towel and then it upside down under your shelf for a place to hold your hangers of what not on that area that you were talking about. Nice room. New subscriber.
