LAUNDRY ROOM MAKEOVER // DIY LAUNDRY ROOM MAKEOVER ON BUDGET! I'm doing a complete makeover of my laundry room , you will not recognize it! I am painting walls, bringing new large DIY shelves, and covering them with all things DIY, starting with baskets from Dollar Store - upgrated to look farmhouse style and ending with DIY lamp! Basically - watch it, I'm sure you;ll like it!

Walmart has some cute brackets for good prices for future projects if you want something more decorative. I needed black screws for a project and only had silver, so I just spray painted them. The containers turned out super cute.

Great job, Jenia! It looks great! And, you made the right decision to clean your walls before painting. Walls should be clean and dust-free for the paint to adhere well.

I’m a professional painter and I’m gonna save you some time 😌 you only need to prime over raw wood or really dark paint colors! 2 coats of agreeable gray will work just fine! I do also recommend wiping down walls before painting so great job ☺️

I love your videos!! You inspire me so much!! I just found your channel this week!! & so far I have decluttered & reorganized my pantry & my “preppers” closet (that’s what my husband calls it). It’s my extra closet that I keep extra food, paper goods, & water for emergencies. & now I’m working on the laundry room! I repainted it, decluttered, & am reorganizing it! I plan to do the kitchen & our bedroom closet this summer also! Thank you so much for the inspiration!! Also, you have the cutest babies! It must have been difficult painting with washer and dryer in the room while painting...I did the exact same thing! But it looked great for me...I am proud of you doing all this work alone! Amazing work and even more amazing results!

It takes less time to take off the light switch covers and paying behind than to paint around them and then have to wipe the paint off them! You did a great job! Learn as you go!

I don’t tape off when I paint either. I also don’t use primer if I can get away with it. Great job!

Sugar soap is used for washing walls. Youll find it in decorating section, it is yellow. Comes in concentrate and ready to use versions. Dont need primer on pale, painted surfaces.

Very nice. You should blow up the laundry signs and get it printed large somewhere in a large frame. You can get poster frames very affordable

Jenia, can you get any more creative!?! Omg, how genius your ideas are❤️ Painting made a big difference, nice and fresh. Power tools can be intimidating for many, the more you use them the more comfortable you will be and develop muscle to hold them! Lol. My husband gave me a smaller drill and it is lighter, his are so heavy and bulky. The laundry room is pretty and cozy, another makeover done well ! And I agree with you, functionality over beauty always.

Hi Carrie! Thank you for the compliments! I think I'll need a nice light drill eventually too, just because I want my own. He has 2 and I am struggling to understand the difference LOL. You are right, practice makes perfect! I once decided to drill something myself and it was taking me all morning, my husband came and said I was drilling the other way 😂😂. That's how you learn!

You should dust walls before painting, lightly washing is a good idea.

I like the detergent in the glass drink dispenser. Does it clog or has worked fine so far? I suppose I could dilute it. I think you did a very nice job. It looks much nicer than my laundry room!

It has not clogged but I stopped using it sinse then because I switchd to a pad detergent.

We really did not want beige, although it may look like it on the screen. IT is a very nice calm color. I don't enjoy grey, but I liked this one.

That ligth under the shelf Is a NO NO NO that dosen't looks good at all ,Also that red rug dosen't match with anything looks awful get like a black,gray ,brown or beige color red is not good at all and the light too ,NO NO NO .
