🇲🇽 corría el año de 1985 y estaba en secundaria 3er grado era el mero apogeo del high Energy, y en la escuela hacían bailes de tardeada para los estudiantes, ahí oi por primera vez este tema y la baile con mis mejores pasos , hoy en día, es un gusto ver qué los jóvenes siguen bailando está música, que no morirá jamás .. saludos desde México

"Self Control" is a song by Italian singer Raf, released in 1984. It was written by Giancarlo Bigazzi, Steve Piccolo and Raf, and arranged by Celso Valli. The track topped the charts in Italy and Switzerland, and started the explosion and dominance of Italo disco-style recordings in continental European charts during the 1980s.That same year, "Self Control" was covered by American singer Laura Branigan.

@@andreasborchert5067 i already know this. I have a huge vinyl record collection and i have both versions on vinyl. Laura Branigans version is the BEST version. Her vocals are a pure power house. Laura also did other cover versions of Italian songs including "Gloria" and "Solitaire".

An absolutely beautiful use of synths!!!!! We have the 80's to thank for that sound!!! One of the greatest generations for music!! (If not the greatest!!!). This (and the original) gets me PUMPED in such a way that it brings tears to my eyes!! And makes me nostalgic for an era/a generation that I missed out on by 7 years! (Born in 87).
