My wife and I had the unexpected pleasure of meeting and talking with Laura at the wedding of another young lady who we had grown to love and think of as a second granddaughter. We were invited to sit with the bride's family in the front with Laura, her sister and mother right behind us. Laura sang three solo numbers and a duet with her sister all to our amazement. Afterward we turned to congratulate and complement her and found her to be gracious, charming and very humble thanking all for their many complements. I teased that her performance alone was worth the price of admission. She smiled.

So good. I laugh with joy at the goodness of this, this free and pure music, especially for its triumph over evil; when in my own living memory, and only 33 or so years ago, such would have been banned as illegal, and so, Laura, Giora and the violinist would have been arrested, thrown into torture prisons to who knows what fate, as these streets were under the boot of Ceausescu and his big-bother secret police. Instead of which we have a soprano singing in the street. Such a great rollover in redemption for Romania, Laura, Giora and co. Mulțumesc! This is my seventh listen-watch of this. Recently, I saw on KZfaq her presentation at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Dear Father is a great composed song and fantastically sung by Laura. She is the future.
