Like your music. I consider anything I'm driving broken if I can't hear music from my radio. Love rock. Also, like your eight thousand series Deeres; and I have driven them myself many times .Farming vicariously through you I can almost feel the controls at your right hand, hear the engine, smell the diesel fumes, etc. My loader tractor - 175 Allis Chalmers - did not have a cab; and moving bales in the winter was miserable. You're still doing great with the videos. - Leeser driver and Missouri farmer , Doug.

I have some advice on the getting stuck issue. I have seen Grant turning around against the lower spots headed down hill against an embankment, especially when pulling trailer which causes more drag. Don't do that! Pull away straight ahead past the low spot first (or just don't drive into that low spot to begin with) and then turn around GRADUALLY on flat ground whenever possible with a large radius maintaining momentum (forward motion), not cutting the front wheels hard. It is when you have the front wheels turned hard it makes the vehicle plow it's way downward and bottoms out (hung up we call it). Any vehicle moves easiest when travelling in a straight line but drags the most while it's turning. When stuck, straighten out the front wheels and pull straight ahead because if you don't your front wheels literally become plows and will load/bog down the effort and make the back wheels dig in and the axle/differential hangs up too. Always maintain as much forward motion (speed) as safely possible while on soft ground. Rock the vehicle back and forth by reversing and back to forward straight ahead or straight backwards to get enough momentum to power out of the rut and do not turn until back on solid ground. I'm a Kentucky boy and know how to drive around in the deep clay mud and snow and can make it with two wheel drive. My father served 8 years in Alaska during the Korean war and got around in a two wheeled drive car with manual transmission. He taught me well. Also, lower the tire pressure if you have no other choice and are stuck way far away from help. Tires that are lower in air pressure roll much easier and will float on top of the dirt and not dig in like fully aired up tires do. Let them down to 20 PSI and that will get you unstuck. Then drive slowly back home then air them back up again. I always carry around a good quality 12 volt air compressor and tire gauge in my truck. All farmers and off roaders should. Also invest in some real mud tires like super swampers!

You can pick up 4 bales at ones if you can line them up and pierce them right in the middle. First pick up two the conventinal way. Put them down, slide them next to each other. Row up four really close. Pierce them high in the middle.

Take it easy on the snowmobiling speeds on uncertain ground. One of my friends up in Ohio always drove his at such ridiculous speeds and he nosed/stuck his into a ditch and it catapulted him off of it. He spent 6 months in the hospital (broke his neck and back) and had to learn to walk all over again. I say the same about people driving 4 wheelers the same way. I know that it's fun but it is also dangerous because you have no protection during a crash.

Here in Ireland we call that spikey thing on the back of the tractor a "Bale Handler" ! We usually move the bales to a corner of the field or take the bales out of the field not too long after harvest, either covered in the field or stack them three to four high in barns because so much rain over the winter they would begin to rot.

Firstly, very Sorry to hear your gandfather is not well laura...best wishes from the UK for him I do hope he gets well soon...!!it is worrying times...!! You actually manage to make hauling bales sound ummm exciting..??😁 l assume that by the time you bale the maize (corn)stem it is dry ? I did do that once here but had to wrap it ..which was entertaining..as it kept puncturing the plastic...I'd like to try again but intreagued by the fact you don't need to wrap it...it must be like straw..? Wonder if it could be done without removing the cob....it'd think maybe some good tyres maybe required for the winter for the truck...or a good driver..😉..you need to give the old Red truck a little mechanical love as that is definitely a keeper !!!...I'd love it here..it looks really cool as it is...do you preheat any of your vehicles before starting ?..mine don't like starting from cold here so ocasionaly on the older stuff I give them just a little sniff of the yellow can.. (easy start ) it's good stuff but don't overdo it as it dry out the pistons n stuff so needs a little oil with it sometimes and too much makes the engine knock ...but used it for years and it's a life saver in emergency....we just still keep getting rain my meadows are still flooded and top land saturated...now due to get cold with the wet...keep smiling as it helps lift the spirits ...you two keep safe and well...best regards Greg.uk.
