As a college senior here’s a few tips!!! 1. Make sure to bring a laundry bag because laundry rooms are usually in the basement of the dorms 2. Comfy shoes are the way to go instead of trendy/cute shoes 3. Shower shoes and towel wraps are a must 4. the more toilet paper you bring the better. My dorms are 6 girls a suite and toilet paper goes faster than you can blink Wishing Erin the best time in college xoxo

Things that I didn’t realize I needed in my dorm room until I moved in: -hangars for the closet -extra set of bed linens -small vacuum -cleaning solution and rags to clean with -extra toilet paper -extra hygiene items (deodorant and toothpaste especially)

DORM TIP: As a mama who has taken a teen to college - you won't know until you are there what you will want (bought a bunch I had to return/exchange)... but I STRONGLY advise getting a mattress topper and mattress cover. Those mattresses are bought in bulk and aren't always so comfortable or hygenic. MHO

Good luck. My daughter is starting her sophomore year in college. If her bed has risers and they go up she can put things under her bed for storage. Usually there is a laundry room on the floor. Congrats!

College senior here! I highly recommend a Rocketbook notebook. They're a little pricey for a notebook on the front end, but you'll save on notebooks and binders in the long run! It's also nice to be able to write everything down and then access it from anywhere.

I just graduated college and before my first year I bought a crap ton of school supplies… ended up typing all my notes and never used any of it in all my 4 years lol 😂

Ha! I was the opposite. I hand wrote all my notes. I just got rid of all my notebooks not even that long ago. They’ve done studies showing that students who hand write notes tend to retain information more easily. But I had a ton of friends who typed and found it to be easier. 🤷‍♀️😂

From my personal experience eryn should get a mattress topper!!!! Those beds in college are so damn uncomfortable and usually they fit under the sheer! So worth it, enjoy college babe 💓

Your mom must be so proud of you and I know your grandma is up in heaven smiling down on you. I highly recommend those little storage ottomans - extra storage and an extra seat when you have friends over! Also anything you can possibly think of for clothing/shoe storage, get!

PSA on the Downy Beads. My 1 year old dryer needed to be opened up after we moved because the drum shifted. When my father opened it up, there were hundreds of those little beads inside of the dryer. They also are similar to fabric softener in that they just coat your clothes in a wax inside or cleaning them. I changed to using 2tps of liquid detergent and 1/4 of distilled vinegar. CHANGED MY LIFE. I can’t believe how soft and vibrant my clothes are and I have well water which is typically harsher on clothes.

Sometimes, esp when I got to engineering school at Auburn, the professors would get with the bookstore, & they’d put together a little set of the exact things you needed…like I remember one time we had to have a lab kit for my surveying class. That’s helpful when they do that. I also used to make a 3 ring binder for every class & I would fill it with paper & decorate the outside with pictures of me & my friends with the name of the class on it. Like seriously scrapbook the hell out of the front & back cover. 😂 but I loved it so much!! 😂🤍

college junior here! tips: • bring so many throw blankets, like a bunch • slippers bring slippers • loft ur bed • i never used folder, ever. 1 notebook maybe, and one folder maybe (u use ur laptop for literally everything)

A planner is good but my life savor was a desk calendar that I would hang on the wall. I either kept it by my bed when I lived in a house, or over my desk in the dorm. Super good for test & paper due dates. Also, mattress topper is a must! Lastly, can we PLEASE get vlog of y’all actually moving her in??? 🥹🥹🥹

Get a fan!! the planner SAVED my life in college. Get a dry erase board calendar so you can see it not in your planner and then a regular blank one for fun, get fun hanging things for pics. You'll collect stuff as you live there!

She will have an amazing time at college! As a junior in college now, y’all got great things!! Organization and space savers are a must in a dorm. One thing I’d make sure to get is a comfortable mattress topper! It saved my life on those twin xl mattresses! Good luck girl!!!
