I'm showing you how to speak like a native in any foreign language in just 4 steps! Disclaimer: you don't have to change your accent for anything and for anyone. Period.
With that being said, if you WANT to practice your accent and improve it to sound more like a native speaker of the language you're learning, go for it. I'm here to tell you how you can do it to make sustainable progress and have fun in the process.
(The accent you'll acquire is the General American accent/MidWest accent. I know there are more accents in the world and in the US, so please, don't come at me saying that there is no one American accent or that other accents are more important. I knoooow.)

○ In my trainings and courses, I give you tips to sound like an American because this is the accent I know best and have trained my students in (the General American/Standard American Accent). I also know quite a lot about RP/Standard British Accent, which is a result of me studying it at uni quite extensively.
My background is also in Phonetics, Phonology, and Syntax, which means that I have a general knowledge of sound systems of world languages. That's why, as a bilingual language mentor and a bilingual accent coach, I can help students from all over the world reduce their accent in English, or in Polish - I know how sounds work and how to train and practice your pronunciation to sound more like a native speaker.

An advantage to not having a native accent is that people are more understanding of your mistakes, and are less likely to judge you. I'm learning Polish atm! I always avoid learning words until I've heard them being said by native speakers. The letters 'ę' and 'ą' were quite difficult but it was slightly easier because I study French at uni :). Thanks for the video!

Basically -Find a motivation to get a native accent, what would you achieve by sound native? -Find out the sounds that doesn't exist in your language which does in the language you r trying to learn -Learn the differences of consonants and vowels sounds in different words -Practice with a purpose

I do reckon that having a clear pronunciation is more than vital, just to be understood whenever you talk to a person. I remember watching a friend's of mine video (English isn't her native language, as well) and I was struggling too much to understand what she was talking about, because her pronounciation was unclear, as well as, her accent. She had a very strong not English accent. I don't blame her at all, I'm just expressing my opinion on this subject. In addition to, my target language is obviously English and I'm trying to improve my accent and my pronounciation, because I wanna establish my life in English, be understood by people from all over the world and be the better version of myself, when it comes to speaking English with an American Accent. Again, this video's been absolutely helpful to me! Ps. Thank God that I know how to produce the sounds of "Th" in any version, because of my native language, haha!

Languages are so nuanced. It’d be great to complete immerse yourself in the culture by perhaps being around native speakers, moving to the country & learning their every day communication by observing. Absorb the language like a sponge. But still do your work on the side.

Thank you! I had been learning French before I discovered Pimsleur, so I can't really tell you that it helped me with my accent that much. However, if you can tune your ear to the differences between sounds and practice these sounds intentionally, Pimsleur can be a great tool for improving your accent. The pronunciation they show you there is impeccable.

I remembered this video and training video of Facebook, other courses on seeing a video why I wanted to wear right pronunciation. And, They didn’t understand my Japanese-English, pronunciation of r/l/th and more. But can you do it now? I don’t acquire the word so a lot either? I though it in this alone.I was troubled with a feeling gloomy alone at long time. But Aafter All… I want to wear right pronunciation!!

Polish pronunciation is quite simple. You pronounce something , your teacher says 'Nie'. It takes a lot of listening for English speakers just to realist that some of these 'ch' or 'sh' sounds in Polish are different to each other. They all sound the same to us at first - just like Japanese speakers can't hear the difference between 'r' and 'l' without lots of practice.
