The Laurel Falls Trail is an American hiking trail, in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park of Sevier County, Tennessee. The trail ascends Cove Mountain (elev. 4,077 ft (1,243 m); 1,372 m), leading past Laurel Falls, one of the most popular waterfalls in the national park, en route to the summit of Cove Mountain and the Cove Mountain fire tower.
Vital information
The Laurel Falls Trail is paved over the first 1.3 miles (2.1 km) of its course, where it runs just in front of Laurel Falls, the single most popular attraction via trail in the national park.
The historic lookout tower at the end of the trail is generally not considered safe to climb. This tower used to be a fire tower, and is only one of four remaining former fire towers in the park.
The trailhead is located off Fighting Creek Gap Road inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, less than four miles (6 km) from the park headquarters at the Sugarlands Visitor Center.

For anyone that has not been up there, go an additional 10 minutes up the trail around the corner and view the huge trees! The trail continues to a lookout tower, but we haven't gone that far yet

I have to agree 💯! I've hiked many of the trails in our tremendously glorious Great Smokies but I've been confined to a wheelchair since 2010 so, naturally, I'm not able to do that anymore so I'm grateful for folks like these guys who bring these wonderful videos to us to relive and discover all the beautiful places in one of many of God's creations! Glad you enjoyed some highlights of our hike from yesterday. The weather was mid afternoon I just asked if she wanted to try out her new hiking boots with me and she was excited too. I was truly surprised how low the crowds were on our drive to the trail & the amount of people on the trail given it's a holiday weekend. The weather was perfect, I am so glad we went!

I don't do as much hiking as I would like to. There aren't a lot of places to hike at in a good radius from my house. I have hiked Stone Mountain many times when I was younger and Kennesaw Mountain earlier this year and actually videoed that hike for my channel. I haven't made it back to Stone Mountain to hike it and video it since I have started doing vids. But I guess you could say I do a lot of hiking at Disney and Universal. LOL!

@@AdventureIsOutThere That would be cool. Stone Mountain has changed somewhat. In some ways for the better. Since you've been there before, you know they have a skylift to the top, a train, and other stuff there to do. Back in the 80s they used to have an outdoor skate park that we would go out there and skate. Plus an antique car museum. Sadly both of those are gone now. Stone Mountain is still a good place to go to. I did enjoy the hike up to the top and back down.

Thanks for the AWESOME video. It's thanks to y'all and other vloggers that share all the beautiful sites that we that are disabled shut-ins get to enjoy seeing them through y'all's videos. And my I say how nice your beard is coming in. You look good with it and be proud of the color the salt and pepper looks awesome. Mine use to be that pretty salt and pepper but as the years went the pepper washed away.... LOL... Now I'm proud of the gray turning white. One lady told me that a man with a gray/white full beard is a sign of wisdom. I ain't gots no hair on me head so thank God for blessing me with a nice beard. Thanks again for the awesome video. Great video guys! The wife and I made that hike on our first official visit to the area. It was short enough that we felt we could handle it. I have a bad back so hiking is hard for me despite loving the area. Thanks for sharing!

I just did this hike a week ago. Glad I was able to do it before they shut the trail down, but glad they are going to improve/restore the trail. It has really eroded away! Great hike and a beautiful waterfall!!

It can depend on the length of the hike. I would always say plenty of water. As a paramedic, I always feel good about having a small bag a medical supplies to help others on the trail if needed, but that's just me.

I did this hike to Laurel Falls about 40+ years ago. The path was a lot better then. I hope they put some kind of railing along the trail to prevent falls or injuries. Thanks Ryan. I enjoyed seeing God's beautiful creations. Glad to see Abi in the thumbnail. I hope you and your family have a very Merry and blessed Christmas. By the way, did you ever announce the winner of the gingerbread houses? I can't seem to locate it, but have not checked the live videos yet.

Wow great video! Thank you for sharing! I am actually going there the first week of Jan 2024. I wanted to ask you do you think it’ll be too cold to do the trail? Also do I need to worry about bears or other wildlife? I’m from Miami going with the wife and kids and we have no idea what we are doing?!?
