By the time Lauren Alaina was 15, she was competing on “American Idol”- and subject to harsh comments on social media about what she wore to how much she weighed. The pressure eroded Lauren’s confidence, which was already crumbling under an eating disorder. Today Lauren shares how she learned to love herself, and how her family, faith, and therapy carried her to a better place, with hopes to help other young women avoid this trauma in their own lives.

Lauren is such a beautiful person not just on the outside but on the inside too... plus she is so darn talented! She truly is a gift from above. So happy I voted for her on American Idol....

pro tip: watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.

Such a AWESOME story...I love to hear hear sing...and when my mom was dieing she told me and my sister that she saw my dad who had passed some 11 years before her and he was hold out his hand..she said he's waiting on me and we told her it was ok...and a few minutes later she was gone...it was like she wanted us to tell her it was ok...GOD BLESS EACH AN EVERY ONE...THANKS

I love that beautiful lady. She is such a sweet, kind and loving person. Lauren worked with my special needs daughter when they were in Middle together. She flew us out to see her on American Idol she even mentions my daughter in her book. Great interview.

Lauren, you are a beautiful young women. When you were on AGT you were a beautiful girl. I never thought you looked over weight. Just remember those people saying those mean things were jealous of you. They were sad with their self so they lash out at people they want to be. Always hold your head up and let Jesus direct you and you won’t go wrong. I love your voice and go back and listen to you and Scotty often.
