“To be a real one is to be an emotional one” - Lauren Jauregui, 2020 That is one of the wisest things I have ever heard anyone say. A true fact about life. Lauren, I respect and love u sooo much. Thank u

This woman is amazing. She's smart, eloquent, conscious, loving and brave. The fact that she opens up and is so vulnerable before the entire world to help others and bring awareness to everything going on and still going on, is just so brave and pure. I hope she's doing/ going to do great and gets everything she wants/needs. ❤️❤️

I cried during this live, it helped me so much and helped me snap back to reality. Lauren is such a beautiful human being and she teaches me views that I’ve never heard of before. Absolutely brilliant.

It’s so rare to see an artist be a real person. And somehow nobody sees this as a problem. Nobody cares when someone like Ariana Grande plays on the radio. We all sing along and idolize and put her on the pedastool of “oh my gosh i love ariana grande!” and it’s like how? You’ve never met her. You don’t know what she’s like behind the camera. You don’t know if her heart is full of love for you back, all you know is the act she puts on for the people. And obviously i’m not saying Ariana doesnt love her fans i’m just using her an example because really in our society she’s the perfect example of a modern day demi god. They put these celebrities in front of us and have us listen to their art and their soul but then we don’t know them. We don’t know their values or their ethics. We don’t know what it’s like to have dinner with them. To be friends with them. And yet we “love” them. We idolize them. I know so many people who have said that Ariana Grande or harry styles or whoever saved their lives and i just don’t understand it. How? Society is looking at these people like they’re demi gods. They aren’t fans they’re worshippers. And nobody thinks that’s alarming. And these artists themselves clearly aren’t okay behind closed doors. We’re so caught up in this false sense of security surrounding celebrities because we can’t handle that part of the human experience is having flaws and being broken. We’d rather create fan accounts and get lost in the fantasy of a “perfect person” and we’re so blind to the fact that these people we “idolize” are PEOPLE. Lauren Jauregui is for lack of better words the perfect opportunity for another hollywood created celebrity that plays the role of a demi god but she refuses to be used. She refuses to hide her pain and her thoughts and her growth because she doesn’t wanna be on that pedastool. She is trying to wake everyone up to the fact that a perfect life doesn’t exist. With money and influence comes power and control by others who don’t care about you. And as a society we ignore this, we ignore the pain of celebrities because it puts a damper on the “must be nice to be rich and famous” mindset we all try to have to hide behind the fact that we aren’t happy with our lives. Or with ourselves. So it’s easier to just say i wish i was rich and famous so life would be better when the truth is life doesnt “get better” happiness comes in waves. Healing and growing comes in waves. Whether you’re unknown or your face is plastered all over times square. You’re a human. I love lauren not because she’s famous not because she’s beautiful i love lauren because she loves humans so much that she won’t let people compare themselves to her and feel less than. She refuses to be the picture perfect pop star because she could be if she wanted to. She has the talent and the strength and the beauty to be a hollywood prop. But she’s so much more than that and she knows she’s worth more. And her message will be ignored by so many people because they refuse to let go of their fantasy surrounding celebrities. Because of Lauren i don’t idolize anymore. I listen. I listen to what artists have to say and their message and those i resonate with i support. Celebrity idolization culture hurts everyone involved. When you’re looked at as a perfect person you’re not allowed to feel and you’re not allowed to make mistakes. Lauren is what we need in today’s society. We need to wake up and heal and stop giving ourselves to fantasies and try to understand that being human means that there is no such thing as an “unproblematic perfect person” i’m here with lauren and i will support her with everything i have because she’s a human who loves and cares for other humans. Just like me. I just wish she could know how understood and appreciated she is especially in a time like now where were all falling victim to this little thing inside of ourselves that would rather stay angry than try to heal. Idk man i just want everyone to hear what this woman has to say

Thank you!!! This is exactly how I feel about Lauren. I no longer idolize celebrities and Lauren shows us her authentic self and how much she is healing and growing from her past. She is imperfect but people love to put her and other celebrities on pedestals and expect them to make no mistakes. Lauren is being honest with her fans, letting them know that she probably will continue to make mistakes but to respect her during that time because she is human. Lauren doesn't like the celebrity status, but she acknowledges the privilege of having a platform that she uses to educate and inform her fans about social issues. I see my strength in her and because of Lauren I am healing and growing everyday.

Lauren is probably my biggest inspiration. I have watched this video several times, mostly because it has a lot of good reminders. Has anyone here ever actually met Lauren, or talked to her? I know that sometimes on her live videos, she would go live with fans. I was hoping she would go live with me, but she never did.

I can’t even put to words how much I love and respect her for all that she stands for. It is unbelievable how someone of her age can have such a large and raw/honest view of the world. How tuned in she is with herself and the people around her... it’s just, unbelievable and incredible at the same time. I can not put into words any better than this, the way I feel about her, her beliefs, the things she stands up for, and this video that she made for all of us to see, that carries such an important message. I love u Lauren, thank you for making this video. It means a lot to me and hopefully it means a lot to other people as well. Thank you so much ❤️😘 I am very greatful

Lauren is such a beautiful person inside and out. I love her. 🙏 I look up to her as a role model and she really speaks her mind and never sugarcoats what she feels. She tells it like it is - the bare truth. I love that about her and she’s inspired me both as an artist and as a person to continue sharing my love to be the better person that I already am. I love you with all my heart Lauren. We are humans and are imperfect. 🙏 I am sending virtual hugs.

I am so grateful for this. For Lauren in sharing her truth and her real emotions and using this platform she has to do REAL good. Cause this awoke so much in me personally. And i especially felt her cause i am too hiding behind an excuse, behind the image that other people have of me and i am tired of letting it define me and destroy me. And i felt her cause i too had a period when i felt like i was drowning and i wasted so much paper and ink to cope. And there is no such thing as perfect, and idolizing celebrities is such a weird concept cause we do not know them yet we believe that they are this perfect amazing person all the time. When i was little i could never understand how my friends would invest so much of their time and energy in a person who doesnt know of their existance and they dont even really know, like in real life actually know them way. Of course i myself am guilty of doing that when i first had access in a phone and social media and this whole world that i didnt know existed. But as Lauren pointed out that world is fake and tiring and exhausting and harmful. And i really don't understand why we put ourselves through that. I admire Lauren though and not in a "oh my god she is sooo perfect" way but rather in a "she is real she speaks her mind and truth and i would like to be her friend and get to know her more". And i thats why she is - i believe- so underated because she is real and for many people that is too much or too complicated. But she is a beautiful soul and a talented artist and at the end of the day that is why i am here. (Okay for that and her green eyes😂😋)
