You stitch with one, two or three strands of the skein 😊 I think that´s the word you were looking for. I love that David is so into his cross stitch and he´s so good! I love flosstube! Don´t know what´s so relaxing about people talking about cross stitch, but it has the same hygge feeling as booktube for me 😍

I really struggled with all the names in Priory and good quite aggressive after a while with all the sentences with three or more names in it 😅 but I hope you enjoy it!

I love the fact that I cross stitch while watching your video and you and David cross stitch in your videos. Highly recommend the Australian traitors, a very good series. Rodger (the host) is brilliant.

Mrs S was my favourite book of last year 💞 The Traitors Australia is great, I'd say that it's a bit of a slow start but absolutely worth sticking with it, you will love it 😁

Just a little baking tip, if you scrunch the baking paper up and then dampen it, with water, you can shape it better in the cake tin 🧁👍

Posting this half way through so I don't forget, then will continue!! That story about the couple at the dentist - haha we can relate in GP!! Cleaning question - which kind of cloths do you use for kitchen surfaces? I've currently got washable white ones but they get grubby-looking. You can buy cake tin liners in round and loaf tin shapes - game changer!! No cutting required! Now finished. Hope you had a great time at the theatre! I Memoriam - omg amazing. I loved Priory, not sure if it's a Lauren book or not but give it a go and you'll soon know. Jen's gifts are so incredible, wow.

I'm not much of a fantasy reader, but I LOVED Priory. It is long, but once you get used to the names/places is quite easy to read (in my opinion). Literally couldn't stop thinking about it after I finished it xx

Crumple the baking paper in a ball and then flatten out again and it will sit better in the pan.

Hi Lauren and community! Lauren, I absolutely love your channel and have been watching for about 6 months ever since Leena Norms did her "One Line Battle" video inspired by you. I binged watched your one line battles because I thought they were so fun and a brilliant way to discover new books and get a sense for each one's moods. Thank you so much for sharing your reading hobby and your feel-good, happy vibes with us. This year I'm actually going to try to reply to the lit chat questions and thought I'd give it a go. 😅 I'd love to be Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett relationship - the love story, the historical English countryside vibes, and the connection between them just seems so dreamy. I'd also love to experience the relationship and love story between Linus Baker and Arthur Parnassus from The House in the Cereluan Sea - just a really wholesome, supportive, loving relationship with two people who love each other very much and in a beautiful setting and surrounded by people they love and who love them back unconditionally

The dress you wore to the theatre is beautiful, you look lovely in it, it even has a classical music connection with Holst's The Planets! I'm not really into opera, but when I do listen to it, I prefer arias sung by women, my favourite being Un bel di vedremo from Madame Butterfly sung by Monstserrat Caballe. You should also check out Motserrat singing with Freddie Mercury, the most famous song being Barcelona, but my favourite is How Can I Go On, just fantastic! Anyway, Best Wishes 💕

On Priory of the Orange Tree. I wasn’t a fantasy reader until I read this book. You do whizz through it and it’s real adventure stuff. I’d give it a go. Also there’s a prequel out too - Day of Fallen Night. BTW, Loving the Friday vlogs! 😊

I love the Green Roasting Tin but as a keen baker I find the Sweet Roasting Tin a bit more hit and miss with flavours, and the methods always seem a little over complicated. There are some great recipes, the chocolate caramel muffins in particular, but the coffee marmalade cake was not a win for me. You might have a more mature palette than me (i just want things sweet!) but I found the marmalade/coffee drizzle soo bitter that it drowned out the (otherwise nice) cake. If I were to make it again, I would maybe only use marmalade or coffee, not both, and mix with some sugar to offset it. Interested to see how you find it! I would also highly recommend Mary Berry for guaranteed delicious and easy baking, I’ve had her Baking Bible since I was about 13 and still use it regularly now 🍰

I don’t read a lot of fantasy but I LOVED Priory. It was also a very quick read for such a long book! I recommend giving it a try. I think you’ll know quickly if it’s for you or not. 😊

I've read the priory of the orange tree is a big safick love story amongst the dragons. I loved the world building and the different threads . There is a glossary of names and relationships which is helpful which you might have to refer to.

Memoir wise I would recommend Poor by Katriona O Sullivan, I listened to the audio which was read by the author - very moving

If you want to read more fantasy but don't want to commit to big books, I definitely recommend A Natural History of Dragons, the first book in The Memoirs of Lady Trent series. It's about how Isabella became a dragon naturalist and how she struggled to be accepted in the scientific community as a woman. About the question, I would go with Pride and Prejudice, one of my favourite books. Matthew Macfadyen would be my Mr Darcy!😆

I'm Team Traitors (excluding Paul 😅)! Re Sweepy app, would it still work for me if I have a cleaner come in every fortnight? (I'm lucky, I know.) As in, do you have to follow the schedule they give you or can you drop tasks that the cleaner does for me?
