In this episode of Lauren of All Trades... Lauren tries Carnival's new Italian restaurant, Il Viaggio.
The price is a bit steep, but everything was truly delicious. If you have the money for it, I definitely recommend it. If $42/person isn't in your vacation budget, you can still have a very nice dinner in the dining room :)
I haven't been able to determine if gratuity is included in the $42. Some people have told me it is, some have said it was added when they made their reservations, and I didn't remember to ask the manager at Il Viaggio when I was there. More people have said there's and automatic 18% added so assume that's the case when you're deciding.

Very strange I see a lot of other videos saying the food on the ship is terrible!!!

I’ve heard that too. I don’t get it. I guess I ate different food?? I mostly didn’t eat anything from the buffet, so maybe that’s the main difference. For Il Viaggio, I asked those on the sailing before mine (via Facebook) what they thought and no one had anything negative to say and many said it was wonderful. I wasn’t sure about spending $42/person! At that price, I won’t say that everyone should go. But for those who have an extra $80 in their vacation budget, it’s a good way to spend it.
