Hi Lauren, What a beautiful vlog and what a beautiful catch. It's a shame you were ill from the cold, in the future you have to bring a rescue blanket, this is a very thin blanket from a kind of aluminum foil on one side it is gold colored and the other side silver colored, wrap this around you and go some standing in the sun and you warm up quickly. By the way you have a nice collection of hats hanging on the wall , I like hats , bought some myself in Mexico , no not sombreros, Greetings from Belgium , and thank you for sharing your adventures. 🇧🇪💕👍👍

Great show as usual Lauren. Apparently nothing stops you from getting in the water. I’ve never been seasick but I’ve seen it. They were neutralized until the boat was docked. Sounds like you need to replace your battery or the solenoid on your starter. Thanks for sharing!

You where talking about eating all parts of the fish, thats why if I can fry a fish whole skin and all thats what I prefer to do there is no waste and they taste great I've also done some in the oven depending on size (some cut off the rib are and throw it out, I pick out the ribs there's just a few)

I'm a Florida boy so I almost grew-up in the ocean. Being afraid of it to me, seemed like a matter of not having enough knowledge. But a few days ago a land-lubber hit me with a new one. He said, _"Why would you put your entire life & everything you've strived to achieve, at risk to the thoughts that go through the mind of a fish?"_ I have to give him credit for that.

Was looking at Judahs clips and saw you get another yellow jack there. This one was much bigger! It looks about the same size as the one I shot in one of my videos, had to have my friend shoot it again due to bad shot placement. Great work! They are my favorite fish! (Maybe after grouper)

I’m glad that you are saying that we need to be more sustainable with fishing. I think you should look into what’s happening in the commercial fishing industry. They actually said if we keep harvesting the seas as unsustainable as we are today. The ocean will be completely empty of fish by the year 2040. With the deep sea trollers with nets . If you want to learn more about this and if you have Netflix I highly recommend that you watch the documentary seaspericy. I also can relate to this from my own experience where I live in Michigan. With the Saginaw Bay I remember my dad and grandfather saying that they used to catch perch and walleye like no tomorrow out there. Now with the Native American commercial fishing industry there it’s emptying a lot of the fish stocks and we now catch a lot less fish there ever since the late 1970s when this started on the Saginaw Bay.

A wetsuit is a safety device in freediving. It provides buoyancy if you blackout on the surface and will keep you on the surface so you buddy doesn’t have to rescue you off the bottom of the ocean.

Oh Lauren, that sucks you were sea-sick so bad. If it's any consolation I normally don't get sea-sick but we were in San Carlos Mexico (On the mainland looking onto the Sea of Cortez) and booked a charter to go fishing for the day and for whatever reason the swells or the chop or the combination made me just so sea-sick, they guys actually asked if I wanted to go to the hospital! So while everyone else was catching snapper and grouper, I was throwing up everything I had ever eaten since birth! My point is it happens to Everyone who spends time on the ocean, so don't feel so bad about the experience, just feel better. There are several brands of sea sick applications you can ask any pharmacist about that will not interfere with diving or make you sleepy. It's amazing how much meat is contained in the head, and it's fantastic too! The collars or "Wings" as the Aussies call them are just solid meat,...so good to eat or to make soup or chowder with. And, now I'm hungry! lol Thanks for taking us along, and I hope you feel much better in the next episode! By the way, how are you doing with your headaches? Take care, young Lady!

nice. usually cook fish whole. had a diner party with halibut i speared someone said what kind of fisherman leaves the bones in & i thought a person that eats a lot of fish. i like eating the crunchy tail bits its like fish chips when its fried. tried eating the eyeballs after i saw your other video. the eyeball its self is chalky the outer part of eye is kind of like fish fat

i think we all been there one time or another seasick, When i was younger my grandmom from Italy would never let you filet a fish and she always ate the head , alot of hidden meat their, or she would save them for a Bouillabaisse soup, Nice Video
