Laurent Ferrier introduces the Classic Moon, an annual calendar watch with delightful surprises. This new timepiece, part of the Classic collection, features a refined 40mm case with sleek proportions, measuring 12.9mm in height. The Laurent Ferrier Classic Moon offers a fresh take on the brand’s annual calendar complication, combining contemporary design with timeless elegance.
The familiar triple calendar display has been subtly updated, with the day and month windows now positioned side by side within a recessed segment just below 12 o’clock. However, the highlight of this watch is the new moon phase display. Nestled within the small seconds sub-dial, this double moon phase indicator shows the moon phases for both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
The moon phase disc, crafted from dark blue aventurine glass sourced from Murano artisans, moves according to the lunar cycles. The glass surface is engraved to form the shapes of the moons and stars, which are then hand-painted in white. This artisanal creation process ensures that each Classic Moon watch is a unique masterpiece, reflecting Laurent Ferrier’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
