@@cservicebe LOL Nope we had XTC called "salmiak" because it looked like that typical dutch licorice....... I've only seen Laurent Live once.... at the "Gaultier Modern Dance Parties" in de Meervaart in Amsterdam in 94-95 i believe... That set made such an impact i still get goosebumps thinking back listening to this track. Man o Man good XTC and solid techno is a mix that get's you addicted easiliy. Cheers

He was one of the dja who played on the radio in France. I listened to him with friends at the time. And it was a trance every Saturday night. Cryspe beacon is a track with a synthesizer making the rhythm in a hallucinating way. You're transfixed. It's his trademark, a low, powerful and very rhythmic synth. Hypnotic. In short, to each his own, and Laurent Garnier Garnier, with David Guetta, or the French or Belgian scene, are examples. Laurent is the best.

Always preferred it when he dropped it into a DJ set at around +4%, it just went so fucking well with a bit of added pace, it's one of those batshit crazy buildups that needs the extra oomph that a couple of extra BPM would always successfully give. What a stone cold classic, showing that machine funk will always be the way forwards.

So fucking true. Techno needs a bit of pace. That's what makes it so fucking exhilarating. I never did get why it slowed right down to 120s a few years ago. To me that's when techno got boring.
