previous to his 1965 Grammy Award (see below), in 1959 his album "Duets with the Spanish Guitar" (with Salli Terri and Martin Ruderman, produced by Robert E Myers and engineered by Sherwood Hall III) won the 'Grammy Award for Best Engineered Record, Classical' and in 1961 he won the Grammy Award for 'Best Classical Performance, Vocal or Instrumental, Chamber Music' for the album "Conversations with the Guitar" (again together with Salli Terri and Martin Ruderman)

Just as a help, the correct title is "Manhã de Carnaval" (Portuguese). in English, can be translated as "Carnival Morning".
