Lauryn Hill is a lyricist. There is a big difference between a rapper and lyricist. Anybody can be a rapper. Not everyone can be a lyricist.

Not too many lyricist out there and if they are lyricist, they are being over shadowed by these candy rappers. What happened to telling a story? All you hear about now is sex, how much money they got, and how many chicks or men they pull. When you've heard one, you've heard all.

Please do. These rappers, I mean candy rappers could learn a thing or two from Lauryn, Common, Wu Tang, Nas, Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah, Taliban Kwalie, Royce Da 5'9. I can go on and on. I just named a few.

It isn't healthy for young boys too. Eminen raps about raping his own mother, hitting and raping women etc. Male rappers rap about pussy, and other unimportant things. So yeah I think today's hip-hop even though it may sound nice sometimes, it isn't that healthy for both young girls and boys.

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!

Sarah Gonzales yeah as much as I love Eminem & Kanye they cannot sing like at all but they don't really sing that much anyway. Lauryn can sing really well and rap really well. I love this woman. I want to thank her in person one day. She also was so very unapologetic in her melanin which really spoke to me without me knowing. 🥰

Her rapping flow, lyrical prowess gets mentioned a lot but her incredible singing is overlooked too often I think. She is flawless in her execution, roaming all over the stage pitch perfect and her tone, her unique sound is just so fucking stunning!

I don't think she gets enough credit for being able to rap AND sing at an elite level. You don't see a lot of that, it's usually one or the other, with a guest artist to do the part they can't
