I like Lauryn’s version, she made it her own, but Aretha’s version resonates with my soul.This is the 3rd version of this song I’ve heard incl Aretha’s, and Ms Franklin is still 2nd to none💕

I didn't like this one L Boogey.... 😔 The original is smooth and tender sounds sincere...this was too fast and choppy for my taste. Nonetheless, Lauryn is a great artist ☺

I don't like it... Too fast, too many riffs, background vocals too "squealy" 👎. Lauryns voice is not for ballads. Stick to vintage soul like Mayfields "Makings of You".

That's just your preference, and it's not like she can change the fact that she has a low voice. Jazmine Sullivan, Nina Simone, and Baby Rose all have low and heavy voices and it's natural.
