You're absolutely right that colour is a wonderful way to give depth etc., but without the technique to create with it, the end result won't be so good. I love watching your technique! I'm fairly certain that in the early days, you would have made the same mistakes that I make now, so I continue to practice, in the hope that one day I will get a decent result. Meanwhile, thank you for sharing, so generously, your knowledge and skills, and I absolutely love this picture! It's too late at night for me to start playing with my colours and stamps, but tomorrow will arrive, and I very much want to follow this video, in slow motion if necessary ❣️

Such a good, easy-to-follow demonstration of the value of building up layers of color. I think I tend towards being a little heavy-handed, trying to achieve the blended depth of color with fewer layers. Also, I've taken to blending the color into the brush inside the lid. I'm wondering: is blending on paper also key?
