Video was very informative Sir. Please guide me through these questions also: Q.1: A boat belonging to state X was ceased while fishing in the territorial water of state Y. State X and Y are adjacent states. According to international law, examine status of each state. Q.2: State A and State B are coastal states having their coast facing each other. The distance between two coasts is 300nm. State A extends its exclusive economic zone upto 200nm. Examine the legal position. Q.3: Sunflower is a government ship of any state X. The ship is transporting medicine and food for flood affected people of state Y. It is also transporting iron ore being exported to state Y. In route while in the port of state Z, the ship was required to pay fine for violating a local law of state Z. State X argues, that since sunflower is a government ship, it is immune from the law of state Z. Discuss.

Sir I couldn't understood that exclusive economic zone ki calculated from base line i.e200nm but it is 188nm so wat is the use of remaining 12nm?🤔

I am not sure but i think the base line is used as common point for measuring to avoid confusion while calculating the area. The eez ends at 200nm from baseline but the first 12nm from baseline is territorial sea and territorial sea is not considered part of eez. So eez is 200-12=188nm

Quite informative. But what about high seas. It has been discussed that this law focusses on phasing out sovereignty by parting the territories. But when coming to high seas, any country can go for fishing there. There is almost no rule or law governing high seas. Please clarify on that part. If this law came in forth to check 'Freedom of Seas' doctrine, why nothing was done for the protection of high seas?
