I know I am in the minority here, but Lewis was by far the best villain SVU’s ever had! As sick, sadistic, twisted, psychotic etc. etc. etc. as he was, it was nice to have a villain who knew all the tricks of the trade and thus, always seemed to be several steps ahead of everyone else; it made it much more compelling to watch.

Dorvell Stewart You're definitely not alone. Me and lots of Pablo's fans think that he did not get the credit he deserved for his portrayal as William Lewis and think that he should've won an Emmy for his performances (I mean every episode he was in was gold). Pablo has an Emmy nom for his character George "Pornstache" Mendez on 'Orange Is The New Black' and while I'm happy for him, his scenes on SVU were far more Emmy worthy. People hate him as a person instead of praising him for being such a convincing actor and it bothers me to no end.

I didn't even know who Pablo was until I watched the season 14 finale of SVU, and his portrayal of this complete psycho made me a huge fan of his. I think the problem a lot of fans, especially women had with his character was that in many ways, he made us realize that Olivia Benson, as much as we love her, is not untouchable. Hell, I believe even Mariska Hargitay herself praised him for his portrayal of Lewis and was actually the one who kept encouraging him to come back throughout season 15. His portrayal was definitely Emmy-worthy, and I quite agree he got snubbed big time. Call this crazy speculation if you want but I honestly believe that if he had been so much as nominated for an Emmy for this role, it would've put a target on his back given how rabid some of SVU's fans are, especially some fans of Olivia.

Dorvell Stewart Well said, fellow SVU Diehard, well said! His time on SVU was the 1st time I was introduced to Pablo too ( a lot of people still don't know he was in season 8 as a totally different person though. Even I missed it O.o) I would HIGHLY recommend watching other things Pablo has been in. I never thought of acting as a true art form until I watched him. He is in a league of his own. And he is SUCH a sweet guy in real life; very humble and down to earth. He takes any hate he gets for his portrayal of Lewis as a compliment on his acting range. His career should have skyrocketed after his departure on SVU.

I love that they picked him. They picked an attractive, and extremely talented actor to play such an evil person, and it shows that evil can be attractive and charming and it just worked so perfectly. He was the best villian on this show and on a lot of shows.

This guy is so fucking talented. I first saw him on Weeds over 10 years ago, then Orange is the New Black, then I saw reruns of SVU. It's a tough acting space to be attractive, scary, and funny, all at the same time. Let's not forget who his brother is either.

Amazing actor. I'd never seen him before. He did an awesome job as a psychopath. Nailed it. The manipulation, the charmer, him being very sick, attractive as most psychopaths, engaging. He WAS terrifying because he was so engaging. Them starting the last episode with that INXS song, while he escaped and called her was powerful. The whole story line was hard to watch. Not just seeing him man-handle our Olivia, but to see her get so far out of control. Even though we all knew why. It was so hard to see her that vulnerable, and that human, and then resort to vengeance. Intense. It's interesting, you could tell he was really holding back in some scenes, I think because he knew how much her fans love her, and that she should be treated with respect. She mentioned that he worked hard to make her feel "safe" during the torture scene. The time he forced a kiss on her, he left the tape on her mouth. And he never stratteled her while she was on the bed. He always came at her from the side.

He's honestly my favorite criminal villain or whatever you want to call him that ever came to s.v.u. I just love how we get to see William really transfer into his dark self the moment he shows up on tv we got to watch him go from this "friendly" guy who's just trying to turn his life around and he plays off what he was doing as a miscommunication and then he transfers to this ruthless dark and twisted criminal who gets off on torture killing and taking what he wants whether it be sexual or not while his victims fights him the actor who plays him is just honestly just amazing we really get to watch William grow into the sick person he is the actor deserves a dam Oscar or something cause dam he gave a really good performance in all my years of watching svu I don't think any criminal has had such as good as a transition as William Lewis

I became a fan of his from SVU and then started paying more attention to his movies since and hes dope in Den Of Thieves .ps if he was built like he is now when he was on SVU, he would have been times scarier.
