Ok first of all .. Once cars hit “0 mi” you usually have another 10+ miles (depending on your car) before you actually hit E. Learned that the hard way 😂. Glad y’all made it safe! You guys are such a sweet couple

My husband and I were blessed to tour a part of the Blue Ridge mountains several years ago, and there was probably 1/8 gallon of gas. It was dusk and I was concerned. Aagghhh! 😳 Stay safe you two!

I loved the journey! I knew you would like my Texas! We have it all! Memphis is so special!! Graceland is truly amazing and touched my heart. We were there with our grands, listening to him singing. I had tears in my eyes bc I had three grands with us and he never met his grands. If you go back to Memphis, stay at the Peabody! I love ya’ll sharing with us♥️♥️

My Husband and I are celebrating 34 years of marriage this week and I am surprising him with a trip to Charleston SC. We are driving from central Louisiana after moving here from California. We will be seeing parts of the country we have never seen before and are so excited!!! Did Texas a few times make sure you have gas some of those stretches are long!! Hope you had fun!

I thought I had seen all of your videos but I guess I missed this one. This video brought SO many memories back to memory for me. I was born and raised in Kansas and for every spring break we went to Durango CO. We were able to take a friend with us and my parents had a time share condo there where we all stayed at. Not far from the train station there used to be a place where you could get you picture taken in old fashion clothes.

You are so blessed to be able to take an amazing trip across so much of this USA. I especially enjoyed that you stopped in Durango, CO. My husband and I spent our brief honeymoon at The Strater Hotel. We enjoyed it and the town so much. Now we live in Pampa, Tx about 60 miles from Amarillo. We have enjoyed riding along on your journey to your new home. Time to settle into married life and all the joys along that road. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. PS: So glad you didn't run out of gas!!!

My husband took me to Elvis's mansion. It was beautiful in a 70's kind of way. It wasn't as big as I expected it to be. Very glad that we went. We are Elvis fans.

I think we all have tested the 0 miles left!!! I've made it from Albuquerque, NM to Shamrock, TX with 2 miles left!! Have also driven my daughters with it at 0 for at least 4 miles!! Thankfully they know we are all going to test that out so they leave at least 5-10 left after the 0!!

I visited Graceland when I was around 10 and I remember also learning Elvis had a twin. And I believe he was identical too. Imagine another person looking like Elvis in the world, I also wonder if he would've had his brother's talent too.

Our loving God is an awsome provider. Do you trust me God says. Most memorable learning experience for me lately. I was at home out of gas and needed to pick up my son from the bus stop. Something (holy spirt) prompted me to do some wash. I grabbed a hoodie I bought in a yard sale for me son. I checked the pockets and found $8. Another time I pulled down a tupperware bowl I recently used at a family gathering and found a check for $100 from my brother and sister in law!! He always provides. I'm glad people like my brother follow the promptings of their hearts from God to do good.

Yes you should definitely go to Graceland. My husband and I did across country road trip from Oregon to Tennessee and back . You stopped at a lot of places we stopped. Graceland is amazing. We spent all day there went to the mansion and then spent most of the day in the museums and such which you hours love. Plan on spending the whole day. And full batteries for pictures. Hope you like it as much as we did. We would go again. But when on the tour of the mansion take your time and no need to stay with your group. You can catch any bus going back .. we also stopped at bass pro. It was dark and rainy but still went out on the deck. So beautiful..

We drove by Graceland when I was there in March. I wasn’t impressed. Lol. We also went to the Bass Pro Shop and had lunch there as well as a presentation on their seismic retrofit. I was there for an earthquake conference for work. We stayed by the train station made into a hotel. Have fun!!

My husband & I did a 7 week road trip starting in San Diego and going all the way to the East Coast. We had nothing planned, just just stopped when ever we cool things to do. I’m a big history & genealogy buff so we visited lots of cemeteries across the county where I have ancestors buried. Best trip ever!!!

When your in Texas always check your gas tank…Texas has a lot of long stretches of Highway before gas stations….. Texas has a ton of places to stop and check out.. a lot of little towns with something unique about each town…just like the little museum you stopped in…there are a lot of little places in Texas like that.. and a lot of history… Someday you ought to check out Galveston Texas… lotta wonderful history there… Strater Hotel is pretty amazing i’ve lived in Houston Texas my whole life…

Also Lawson you need to check out the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton OH. They have 350 air and space craft! They even have several Air Force Ones!

Capulin is really cool! Driving to it from Raton, the landscape is moon like with all the piles of lava. Been there several times on my way to Lubbock. You both know how to road trip!!! Fun times!

I’ve used coal heat,but we had an auger we shoveled coal into. When it started smelling bad we had to take a clinker out of the furnace. It was creating a gas by shutting off the air to the furnace. Watching that coal burn, I thought of what he’ll must be like.

Oh No! You should go back to Durango and ride the train!!! The fall is the most beautiful time!!! But any time that 8 hour ride. I recommend riding the train to silverton and riding the bus back!

I remember $0.39 gal/gas. Prob 1965 or so. That’s when Buck Owens was on the radio w I’ve got a tiger by the tail it’s plain to see. I remember that playing at a Shamrock Gas Station not far from San Antonio. Then in the mid 70’s the gas wars where we waited in lines for a ghastly $0.74/gal. And CA was at least a buck a gal. And we gasped at that. I’m confused. Amarillo then Durango? Maybe that was the opening ?? Must be bc now you’re going back to Amarillo? You know we fondly call it armadillo texas. No fun driving there in ice/snow storm!! Which I did late 70’s. 🙂 And there isn’t even a “cent” sign on keyboards. Removed a while ago Cowgirl hat suits you Tiffany. Central Texas. Jenn
