He's always been like this! Why are people surprised that he's an arrogant one note fuck with no sense of business? I realized he had no sense of business when he said he wouldn't make a game like Cooking Mama. Cooking Mama is a game that's cheap to make, outsold Gears of War, and it turned a profit. I get why he personally wouldn't make a game like that, but why not hire someone who can make a game like that? Expand your audience.

That's not the only thing people like about Arena Shooters, Monty. A major component of the Arena Shooter is equal starts and map pickups. With class based games, you never know for sure what class your opponent is going to spawn as, and when your opponent dies, they usually have a chance to change class. This adds an element of randomness which you can't strategize around and gives players who die an advantage. Map pickups allow people to come up with strategies to give themselves an advantage. If you've died, you need to claw your way back. These elements, elements that define the Arena Shooter genre, are completely missing in Lawbreakers.

Didn't Cliff say that mobile games would eventually replace triple A console titles and that in the near future games would just be streamed rather than have digital or physical copies? Yeah, he lost my trust when that happened... EDIT: Yes, I know he was right guys, that wasn't my point when I wrote this 4 years ago. I just meant that a lot of this stuff was anti-consumer and that I did not like it. I still preferer to download my games and not deal with latency issues no matter how minor. Also mobile gaming is still a very casual experience (not a bad thing) and can't really compare to console pc gaming imo, no matter how much money they make of microtransactions and how 'successful' they are

As a PS4 player, I have to admire this guy's plan. 1) Abandon your entire previous fanbase built by Gears of War. 2) Make a game for which no one asked and no one wanted. Seriously, the Hero Shooter crowd and Arena Shooter crowd, to the extent that it still exists, have very little overlap. What the fuck kind of Arena Shooter has no deathmatch, no weapon pickups, and classes? What the fuck kind of Hero Shooter emphasizes individual skill over teamwork? 3) Shit talk Overwatch and its fans, aka the very same people who you're trying to get to buy your game. 4) ????? 5) $$$PROFIT$$$

It also has horrible aesthetics. There are tonnes of colours on the maps and there is no consistent colour scheme to the maps themselves. On top of this the character silhouettes look horrible and indistinguishable from each other. Not to mention their bland mostly black models create for a boring unrecognisable colour palette

That gender neutral bathrooms doesn't really ring my bells on the slightest but the fact that hacky journalists preid on it for lazy articles treating it as the beacon of light of the brither liberal utopia is really dumb. But for cliffy to exclude that streamer from an event just because he had personal political views that aren't trendy is what is enfuriating.

Lawbreakers didn't violated your third rule, if you look at others hero shooter games what you have there? lowerskill palladins, old and buggy tf2 , casual ow and final one quake champions, Hero shooter genre is empty if you compare to others videogames genres. Lawbreakers was good game and there where it tryed to focus was only one in this place. Everyone who wanted something more skill focused (with unreal tournament style) it was perfect game to play. Just hope games like this will be more...

HeavySandvichGuy1 yeah old doesnt mean nothing , but its bugy and valve doesnt even know how to make balance to weapons and characters. Hero shooter is empy , people play it because there is not much others games in this ganre. Thats maybe reason why tf2 live until today. If somebody would create copy of tf2 (like paladins from ow) ,but with normal ballance and without these random elements, it would replace tf2 without problems.

Rj Diggs by the sounds of it, he wasn’t very present as a director. Spent most of his time fucking around with lambos and private jets than he did at his own studio helping direct this game. And then would go to events and act like he made everything himself. No wonder the game failed.
