A Sunrise, Florida police sergeant is seen on bodycam video grabbing a female's throat during an arrest on November 19, 2021. The officer, 47-year-old Christopher Pullease, was charged with four crimes for this incident, including battery and assault on a law enforcement officer. Pullease was arrested and pleaded not guilty to all four charges last Thursday with his next hearing scheduled for September 8 in a Broward County courtroom.

I wonder if he'd have reacted the same way if it had been a man doing it. I don't think it would have been. The reason I say that is because he equally held the mace to the accused's face as he did to her. The difference was that the accused instinctually "knew" this officer was beyond reasoning with and the next step would BE violence. The best thing for the female officer would have been to cut in FRONT of this guy and tell him to stop...not grab him from behind...she lost situational awareness as much as he had.

Having worked in one of largest cities as a cop, I noticed the look on the other officers faces. They had that look of “ Oh no, here he comes.” This sergeant is likely a known liability. Probably juicing. In the days before cameras, guys like him with altered uniform sleeves to make their arms look bigger, would show up to a call and not announce their arrival to the dispatcher. Thus, their name was not assigned to the call. Because he was not assigned to the call, he would take liberty to take some shots on the arrestee and just leave the scene. This would leave the officers left at the scene, to deal with taking the subject to the hospital and deal with the subsequent Internal Affairs investigation. Loose cannons like this were riddled throughout the department. My favorites, were the ones always finding dogs to shoot. Later they progressed to people. Like serial killers. If you said anything, you were labeled a rat and get run off of the job, or tucked away in the personnel division. So, you learned to leave any call that the psycho showed up at. We even had females like this. One in particular was a female officer that hated men. ( being politically correct). I called her “ Anna the Hun”. She always found a way to kick men in their privates. I could go on and on, but I’ll just end it with I am fortunate to be out of that totally dysfunctional job.

Why is it not a law that other cops must arrest a cop that assaulted another cop? I want a law that demands the standing cops to tackle that guy & handcuff him right there. If not, they are charged with aiding & abetting, the bad cop who put his hands around her throat. If they do not comply, they are fined a minimum about, no pay for several days, & community service. Depending on the involvement, they will likely face jail time themselves. We must hold cops to a higher standard. Punish them. Make them regret their actions. If they do not care how they treat cops & other law enforcement officers, then they are scum bags themselves. We must not pay scum bags.

She actually did the right thing by saying "just let it be." They all knew with how he just behaved towards the suspect and towards her that it would get even worse if the officer tried to talk or justify her reasoning to that "sergeant." Also everything is on camera. They realized after that EVERYONE was going to get a talking to by the higher ups. Best to leave it there and wait. And it worked out as he was charged and fired.

They all knowed but only she did something, not the one who said let it be. The higher ups only talked to people because she did not let it be. She’s going to be experiencing a LOT of passive aggressive retaliation for this. Nobody will trust her. She got her one complaint and might (big maybe) still be able to get promoted in the future. If she wants to get promoted at all, she better hope the people above her weren’t friends with the Sergeant. If she makes another one or stirs the pot again her career is done for sure. As a cop we are trained to keep emotions out of arrest. We are also trained to jump in if you see another officer getting too emotional. They already used the reasonable amount of force to get the guy in cuffs and in the car. If the Sargent would have sprayed him in the face while in handcuffs and under control it no longer is reasonable force, it becomes excessive force or in other words assault. The female officer pulled him back to try and save him from breaking the law and he ended up assaulting her. The other cops are clearly intimidated by their Sargent if they felt like they should just sit there and watch that. In my department even a junior officer should feel comfortable checking a 20 yr veteran if they are doing something wrong.

@@KTMsoldier1988 absolutely wrong. Any cop will tell you in that situation when you get them in the car you close the door and warn them if they kick the windows that’s a additional charge. If they break the window then we put them in kick stops. On the way to the jail you call ahead and tell them you have a prisoner who is combative. They will have like 10 deputies/ or jail officers waiting for you and they will help you remove him from the vehicle. Go watch the video again, the other officer already went on the other side of the vehicle and pulled him through before the Sgt got there. The Sgt literally reached in the vehicle with OC spray meaning the guy was already in the car. I have been a cop for 5 yrs and have handled hundreds of prisoners. So I think I’m more qualified than you, and if you don’t believe me go ask any other cop if they would OC spray a cuffed prisoner in the back of the police car. OC spray is considered a less lethal weapon the same as a taser. You will have a hard time explaining to the DA, judge, and jury why OC spray was necessary.

I used to go to a gym in Jersey where a lot of roided up cops would go to work out. That red faced cop looked like all the cops there. They'd all reminisce stories to each other about man-handling all the people they would arrest. It's terrifying there's so many of these cops out there like this.

That's immediately what I thought too. This Stone Cold Steve Austin looking cop is juiced to the gills and can't control his emotions. He's totally out of control. While roid rage is over exaggerated pretty often I think, it is most definitely real. When you have a cop like this who's juiced and add in the fact that he feels entitled to act this way because a suspect isn't doing what he wants. I wonder if he kicks the dog when he comes home from work each night. I bet his wife and kids hate him.
